David Letterman is still as funny as hell .. miss him
Only David Letterman could say, "You're nothing like me" and make it sound so funny and genuine.

I also haven't told David Letterman that I, portrayed the actor Ben Affleck as the 'Batman' TV series casting director William P. D'Angelo. William P. D'Angelo has anticipated my bad future.
I love how he remembers everyone's family and asks about them. Letterman is the best
Seth's kid is destined to become a Washington lobbyist. I'll show myself the door now.
I love that Seth so clearly enjoys watching Dave talk.
Only Letterman can be a guest interviewing the host. So classic Dave!
How’s Dave interviewing the interviewer??

Arges Hagan Yes he is. He's even better than Morgan Freeman doing voice-over dialogue throughout a Movie. Next time a Movie is to made with commentary done by Morgan Freeman *GET DAVID LETTERMAN* to do it instead. 🤔🎅🍱🚼🎬ℹ
Every time I see Dave pop up for a few minutes somewhere, it reinforces the fact that his absence has changed the television landscape.

Dave is my all time favourite talk show host. Sure others were funny. But he could actually have a funny conversation with his guests. Leno is a close second and better at the stand-up part. But these clowns they have today? Seriously they cant find a more charismatic guy than Fallon or Corden to name a few?

I have Respect for David Letterman, a mature adult able to stand tall and take responsibility. He gets my love too. An example to live by. No drama necessary. Let's see more of Spirit acting through him. Let's see more of him. Thank you Seth.
This is why David Letterman is my favourite late nite talk show host ever #TheTruth
lot of folks have no idea how much this man meant to the culture. My favorite by far
I love how dave always asks others about parenting experiences and advice

Letterman is a huge Late Show legend. Always will be the legend of the Late Night With Seth Meyers which originally was Late Night With David Letterman.
Best KZread clip so far this week. Even on Seth's show, Dave gets the last word on the clip;)
Love the old school guy embracing the new school guy. Heartwarming stuff
Dave is a legend.. Miss you Dave
How fun! David entirely interviewing himself AND Seth and Seth honest hearty laughter to Davids stories. So wholesome.
Make more appearances on shows dave. We want to see more of u
Letterman is a comedic genius. Peace
This interview is so awesome! Here, Seth is a fan, just like the rest of us, but he get's to ask him questions!

He’s just the best. Dave is the king and always will be.
Gotta disagree -- I find it really delightful when Seth and his guests talk about their kids in beaming, blissed-out, and comical ways. We especially need to see men talking with parental joy about their kids and each others in ways that used to be the purview of mothers only. The model of the emotionally distant, physically unaffectionate, grudgingly parental type of father needs to consigned to the trash bin of social norms -- Donald Trump is proof of that, as both example and result.
I had an italian sub with onions and then held my wife's hand and 30 years later she still complains about the smell of the onions in the delivery room.
Nobody can be like David Letterman you are the best you should come back and run the show please thank you
Love his stories...could listen to him for hours. 🤣😅🤣
I love that Dave is basically interviewing Seth.
Great to see Letterman back on his old show.
I grew up watching Letterman. He's still as great as he's ever been. He's even better with that beard.
Still and always, sharp as a tack! These two are my family's forever friends.
Right on ! Much respect for Dave.
Well Again I am crying! This great great man I know I supposed to be laughing but yet I am crying... I just love him SO MUCH
Miss Letterman so much!! This was wonderful.
I ordered lasagna to be delivered to the hospital during the labor with my son. Wife was -- displeased.

I knew I was in labor, but refused to go the hospital until after supper because I wanted to have the lasagna I'd made. If my husband had had some without me I would've been cheesed. #sorrynotsorry
you have to pay to call 911? Oh America...
@PhrontDoor
6 жыл бұрын
My friend had to take an ambulance, dispatched by 911 as an emergency, to the hospital. Just the fee for the ambulance was $2600 (a little more). After insurance, however, it was only $800. But as has been said NUMEROUS times before -- very nearly EVERY American family is just ONE medical issue away from bankruptcy. A heart-bypass costs at least $100,000 -- the same as a serious gunshot wound. Losing a foot or leg in an accident, that's way over $100,000 (only $50k for the initial surgery, but required follow-up care eats up the rest).

In new Zealand all hospital treatment is free. Whether you cut your leg off , shot in the head or need a triple bypass surgery. Emergency departments, free. Even the ambulance service is free. We don't realise or fully appreciate what we have here. . . .

Alan Kalter: "And now a man who needs no introduction (then what the hell am I doing here?)... Daaavid Lettermaaannnn!!! "
Seeing David Letterman was great..he still has't changed.
Me and my wife ordered pizza and ate when the epidural kicked in, mid labor, with our firstborn.
Dave - you and Seth can talk about your kids Any Time. Do you have any idea what a respite it is to hear late night talking about something other than #45? And Seth - sitting there like a kid in front of Santa ( beard and all) with that gleeful smile/laugh...does the heart good !
That was a great line.
Dave has still got it.

The Chinese food part really cracks me up because my dad did that same exact thing to my mom when she was in labor with me and boy was she pisssssed haha (in labor for 3 days unable to eat anything is apparently not fun)

It was nice to hear his voice. So familiar.
In 2003 I'd been a fan of Dave for decades (which isn't easy in Australia), but realised I (as a father to two young boys) had life experience he hadn't experienced yet (being a father). Watching David Letterman open up on air about being a dad to Harry was VERY relatable and understandable. It's the human experience ... so much better than monologues, movie promotion, and skits. $0.02
david letterman so awesome on late night with seth meyers !!!
so fun to see Dave again !!! I agree w/Nixer...
Always fun watching Dave on HIS (and Conan's) show...
I love Dave....
Santa is hilarious
Mr. Letterman can talk about whatever he wants. In fact, more family talk w/ Dave L. please ;)
Two bros talking. I love interviews like this.

Awww how sweet😂miss Letterman, but i love them both😁
Letterman now reminds me of a favorite uncle thqt everybody has.
The freakin boss.
He seems to be flourishing after retiring from his full-time job. Great video.
In a normal, modern, civilized country you do not pay for an ambulance as long as you have a medical emergency and are not doing a prank call. (edit: and yes a woman giving birth in a lobby is an emergency)

Being European this is really hard to imagine to having to pay for an ambulance... so what happens if you don´t happen to be rich? Do people just not call an ambulance even if they need one or do they end up in massive debts afterwards? Where I live even a person without insurance or money will get treated in a hospital if it´s a matter of life or death and the city will pay for that...

Kaya we believe in personal responsibility in America, that’s why we are much more successful than wherever you’re from. Make enough money to afford your problems. If you can’t, tough.

Calling an ambulance in NYC is like $500-650 lol

Funny guy, another very stable genius.
Man miss this guy. Remember that one time he told fox bill he was a goon. good times.
My wife and I went in for delivery on a Saturday evening. By Sunday morning, our son had not yet arrived. The hospital brought breakfast for the patient -- that is, my wife -- and on Sunday morning, it was pretty good: French toast. Well, the breakfast smelled amazing, I was famished, and my wife, being in labor, was in no condition to eat it. I figured we were going to pay for it anyway, so I asked her if she'd mind if I ate it. She said no and so I did. Here is my advice to any of you who may ever be in that same situation: DO NOT EAT THE FRENCH TOAST. It doesn't matter that she can't eat it. It doesn't matter that you'll pay for it even if it sits untouched. And it sure doesn't matter that you asked and she said it was fine. Don't you take the first bite. For if you do, she will resent the hell out of that act. For years to come, in recalling the story of your son's birth to groups of people, she will always mention that part in a way that makes you look like the biggest ass. I'm telling you, no matter how delicious the French toast is, it will not be worth it. Instead, tell her, "Well, I'm hungry but I'm too excited to eat right now. This is wonderful and I love you so much. Let's see if your mother wants the breakfast."
