Jim Carrey was definitely one of the funniest and consistent actors of all time. He made tons of movies and nearly all of them were pure gold. Glad I got the chance in life to grow up in the 90s with comedic talent like his.

And now he's become a total liberal shill because he has to be that to stand a chance at getting any work in Hollywood. It's so sad that so many comedians from the 80's-90's simply cannot be funny because of the insane woke SJWs who get as offended as Chairman Xi about Winnie-the-Pooh jokes. I simply don't get why women and soy boys are acting so strangely these days. Spaying & neutering the kids. WTF

Not so. You've heard Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Tarantino, all the bad ass actors, but not comedy ones. The 90's was more of a music scene. Strangely, his best was Ace Ventura 1. in this one, He's the absolute insane man.

@@jeanphilskij8397disagree. Jim Carrey was just as big of a name, if not bigger, than the ones you mentioned. Tarantino, for example, was certainly respected, but he didn’t just pop up in regular conversations. Carrey 100% did. The 90s really was a golden age for comedy, lol. For the first 4 minutes David Letterman was just sort of in a auto-pilot interviewer mode, doing the polite laughs at Jim Carey's jokes, but when Jim started doing the Broderick Crawford bit, it totally struck a chord with Letterman. You could see his demeanor change and his laughter was genuine. Watching him riff with Jim doing the impersonation was awesome to watch.

I love him so much. Back then I didn't appreciate his talent because I thought he was over the top and annoying, but I see now what a genius he was, and actually quite sweet. When he gets going, it's impossible to stop laughing.

For me it's the other way around, the way he acts in these interviews is OTT and cringe as all hell. In a movie that's supposed to be melodramatic, I get it.

I was 8 years old, in 1994. And when Ace, Mask, and Dumber came out on VHS I was allowed to watch because they were PG-13. Glad I was able to be a bystander (albeit from a very far distance) in Jim's meteoric rise to fame. Many, many laughs were had. To this day, I can quote lines from dumb and Dumber, and people my age know exactly what I'm talking about and play along!

What I love most about KZread is this sense of discovery when one is surfing through videos and something catches your attention. This video was worth discovering. Jim and David doing their Broderick Crawford impressions had me laughing out loud. I suffer from depression and they snapped me out of my funk and I am now going to go for a walk and get some fresh air. I feel good now. KZread can sometimes be my therapy and potential side effects are laughter!!!!! By the way, Jim Carrey is my favorite actor. Ever since Ace Ventura Pet Detective, I have seen all his movies and no one makes me laugh harder. Most appreciated!! Thank you Jim.

I was an extra in the dance scene in “Once Bitten” that he did before Ace Ventura. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a fun vampire comedy. I was the one with long, peach bows in my pigtails and a short blue dress on. I saw Jim later in Century City. He had just gotten off the phone so I said hello and reminded him about seeing him before. He was very nice, said he remembered me, and then was all excited to tell me that he just got the job in “In Living Color”. Pretty cool. I knew before he called his wife! Wow.
