My show was July 29, 1983, Richfield Coliseum in Cleveland (still have my concert ticket!). I scoured my hometown (Findlay, O.) to find a pair of red shoes, so I could "put on my red shoes and dance the blues" ... found them, they were a bit tight and hurt like hell, but I wore them. LOL. I remember people walking to their cars after the show, and many were echoing Bowie's "whop whop whop" from G.Y.

Mr. Bowie gave the world a sneak peak in 1976 what would hit the world in 1983 with this 'simple' song. I believe had he wrote more tunes like this back in The 70's, he'd have more hits on The Charts here in The USA. Oh well, can't have everything, right?

But they were totally real.
