How fortunate that Dave encountered an Italian ‘in the wild’ on a night when his guest happened to be fluent in Italian!

I was on the next version of Let’s Look for Swedes. If only The Donz could direct the forces that be to post it from Oct. 6, 1992.

I remember watching this. Still funny. The genuine smiles plus silliness do more good for humanity than the world knows. I hope all the interviewees are all doing well with life.

“Let’s Look for Swedes” was originally a talk show bit from the 1930s, but they found that it didn’t play as well over the radio … and the outcome was far less comical once the Swede was located.

I miss this show!... It was the best!

I loved this time, late ‘80s/early ‘90s. Peak of my life & I didn’t even know it. Being a kid then was the best.

i used to enjoy watching David Letterman in the 90s even at 12 pm in the night

I saw this the night it aired; I spent junior high and high school in Omaha and thought, “Yep, those girls are definitely from Omaha.”

And if I remember right, it’s one of the states where the scandinavians immigrated, like MN, WI, NE, and the rest around there, and they still look Nordic (and Germanic, not just because of the hair but the faces too) despite probably being descendants thereof sooo 🤷🏻‍♀️

Reminds me of the time I rode up a hotel elevator once that was full of a batch of beautiful, blonde, Swedish stewardesses.

Right, that's something Europeans don't understand or know..l had a friend he was blonde from north Italy looked like any Scandinavian. There're many blonde in middle east and Kurdistan as well. For example kurds have blonde, blue and green eyes but mixed in few hundred years with Arabs, turkish..when they attacked and moved to those places.. Anyway not only Europeans or Scandinavians are totally blonde, but many of them are because they don't mixed that much with another nationalities! Some Swedish have dark blonde hair and brown eyes! Scandinavian are more racist than Germany nowadays.. They have white power kind of movement and they demonstrating without shame on the street with police protection!! I just want to ad something on your comment, personally I'm spiritual l don't care what nationality, race... Because we all are one, no matter if you believe in that or not!!
