Dave is like a cat: he has 9 lives! With all that has happened to his body in the 90's when he was a drug addict, and again in 2009 when he had cancer, it's amazing that he's still alive! Dude's got super human strength!

I am listening to him for 40 years now but never really cared much for interviews. But this one really is something. He is charming as hell. And honest. "Every day I get a little bit of David back. (...) I lost it somewhere." Heart wrenching stuff in this interview. Glad he made it (not only the interview ... you know what I mean).

My favorite Dave interview. He’s so open and vulnerable. It’s also great to see his humour and genuine smile back after years of darkness. I can’t imagine a world where he didn’t make it back to us.

Incredibly sweet man, I so envy his wife, wow! Wishing dave his wife and all of his family blessings in abundance. An incredibly sweet soul.

Dave today is May 28, 2017...exactly 21 years ago on this same day your Heart stopped beating for two minutes. Big respect for you Dave, it is incredible that you survived to all That. You are Amazing

His beautiful face matches his beautiful personality and cute laugh, I love him so much 💋💋💋❤️❤️❤️

He comes across as such a genuinely nice and honest person. Shame about the drugs past but he managed to overcome it so deserves great respect just for that alone. And so hot as well! Depeche Mode is my greatest love since childhood and get better and better.

Drugs was part of his journey. Like he said learn. and be disciplined. Being clinically dead for 9 minutes was another journey. He has to go through them himself to duly understand himself an overcome whatever demons he may himself have to.

And what a smile! Makes me melt!

I love how smiley he is in this interview, he seems kinda light, if that makes sense; such a beautiful soul I feel like

he's so sweet

he should forever be respected as a HUMAN BEING! I´m sure he´s a perfect role-model for lots of people who went through the same prob or are right now into the probs he´s had in the past...now he´s back&found to himself! That´s so wonderfull:))))))

It's inspiring that after his heroin adventures and after he nearly died that he managed to quit not only opiates up until today but all of them drugs (incl. alcohol). Probably does have enough ppl to care.

@@grimlund Emm I don't know exactly when but I do remember watching quite a lot of Vids listening to Mart saying Dave kept on H in secret for a let's say another 8 or 9 months or even a year more! Nobody knew It, not even Mart his BEST Friend!! Actually I think in This Interview Dave doesn't say It clearly, but he says (And it's still going on) or something like that, you know! I'm not completely Sure, of course not, but I think he didn't really Stop, give up H till 1997!! Not as much as the years before though... Anyway he gave up!! Good For Him... It's not that easy at all...

@@antoniabermudezann4233 Yeah. Martin said that he couldnt see If Dave was on H or not. The Ultra album took over a year to make. Mostly because of Daves problems. You can be right about that Dave most likely kept using on and of the whole of 1996. There are a lot of guilt and shame around addiction. I dont think Dave wants to talk about that time of his years really.

His whole persona is beautiful!!!😊😊💋💋

We must take into account that he was abandoned by his biological father since he was born. Gahan is the name of his step father. Such a negative experience marks your young life, especially if you are too sensitive. Glad he overcame all that at last thanks to his talent and professional and human engagement

I got into pain meds in my adult life and it really changed me. I started to be more polite to people and I go ,back into music after a ten year break. BTW...I had his singing teacher too in Highgate. Haha.

dave used to talk kind of bad words every time at interviews like '' i've got spread my wings and i don't give a f..,.k stuff like that '' perhaps in private life with friends he like to say F words lol.., but now he has to show up a good boy appropriate behavior on Tv media he has been sober than ever..nice.
