Keep in mind that the guys were also sitting in this room ALL DAY talking with different European journalists, TV people, etc. It's not surprising that after hours and hours of talking about the same stuff over and over again, they might be tired and irritable. Or sick of talking about certain things.

Dave was going thru a rough time during this phase (health/rehab). The whole band was on shaky ground. I think Dave, Martin, & Andy did just fine & as well as they could given the circumstances.

Sometimes it seems like they were so selfish about why Alan Wilder left the band. The three of them were doing almost nothing for the band in that period, Dave on drugs, as well as Martin, and Fletch, everybody know he is not a musician at all and the whole work was on Alan's shoulders, and his work was very underrated there! Is not a kids garage band, it's a job even if it's a band and art and fun, and when your partners are totally out of it then is time to make difficult decisions. :(

Алан слишком мягкий,не смог отстоять свои права в группе,что поделать слабый,ведь мог поговорить хотя бы с Мартином об этом и остался бы в группе,с другой стороны в комментариях пишут вот бы Алан вернулся и так далее, надоели

He does! But I must admit he's Said quite a few times he wanted to be a Rock Star, in a Rock Band!! That doesn't mean It probably would've been An Electronic Rock Band for Sure!! Actually I was just thinking about The SOFAD Album!! Couldn't be more Electro Rock!!

Fletch doing what he does best - talking utter rubbish. It showed very quickly that a band not even Depeche Mode can exist on just a singer, a writer of demos and a no mark who brings nothing creative to the band. They needed Alan Wilder (and I admit he needed Martins demos to polish and shine) but they treated him like dirt and what shocked me was the way they acted as if it was all his fault. In their minds Daves drug addiction, Martins excess alcohol intake and Fletcher doing nothing didn’t cause any problems!

    A. Clemence they are all straight. Dave kicked drugs in early 1997. Martin quit drinking in the mid-2000s. Andy is fine now. Alan left for a multitude of reasons. Ultimately it was the same reason Vince left. He was interested in expanding beyond a group.

Charles Switzer I know all this now. I investigated. Dave is one of the best vocalists an frontmen ever along with Chester B fr L.P. just wasnt sure about Martin. Still not sure exactly what Fletch does except dance off beat. Martin is better song writer than the guy(forget his nane, not Allen earlier) who left early way early. But some of Martins outfits made u wonder back then which is fine just wondering. ..Dave...sigh..
