I bought this single when it came out. I so love the Cats, and their then producer Dave. Still a fine song by them!

This was actually from Dave Edmunds' album,"Twangin'" as well as a single paired with "Singing The Blues". Therefore,inadvertently,SwanSong Records actually had the first American release by The Stray Cats.

Incredible, as I was just enthralled with George Jones singing this originally, then seen these boys doing it, and I have to say, they did it up proud. Loved it.

Das war ein so geniales Konzert. Die Sonne knallte vom Himmel, U2 wollten und wollten einfach nicht aufhören zu spielen und wir schwitzten uns in unseren dicken Motorradlederjacken kaputt. Die Frisuren lösten sich auf und als wir dachten, vor Hitze sterben zu müssen kamen endlich die Cats auf die Bühne. Es war ein toller Tag damals. Das müsste jetzt so 28 Jahre her sein. Unfassbar. Keep on rockin'

Well, it's been recorded in August 1983 (Saturday, 20th) on Loreley, Germany. It"s been a legendary WDR Rockpalast with Joe Cocker, The Steve Miller Band and a young Band from Ireland that nobody knew. They called themselves U2 and it was the beginning of a world career. I am still sure that Bono felt it that day! It was a pefect concert!
