Dave is a superb rocker, he knows Rock n Roll sound and how to recreate it! He produced Shaky & The Sunsets first album - A Legend - totally authentic 👍🏻

Dave is a true musical craftsman who you just know is always going to ‘do it right’.

These guys are great, I was a bobbin to them live in early 80s Cardiff top rank.

Back around 1981 I saw this video it was the first time on TV. The First real Music Video in between HBO shows.

Love Dave Edmund’s material, brilliant guitarist and he’s from wales , splott in Cardiff .

the rockabilly revival it was almost vital for a moment again....i loved these guys edmunds and nick lowe too

was a nice little sub-chapter between Punk and New Wave - I arrived in London April 1981 and these guys were huge along with Polecats and Major Matchbox, older dude Shakin Stevens was No1 with Greendoor. Me? I went to see The Specials!

In the movie Stardust the band , played by Dave Edmonds and Kieth Moon and others , was called The Stray Cats

Dave Edmunds was In a fictional band called the stray cats in the fictional film stardust also in the band were Keith moon and David Essex ,early 1975

Vic Arnold Dave's single of this was released in 1981 on Led Zeppelin's SwanSong Records label. This also marks the first American release for The Stray Cats as well.

Dave made them sound just right and launched them properly. I always think it's interesting how Brian Setzer has that cute lisp when he speaks but it barely comes across when he's singing.

SarahDBaker This helped me kind of appreciate a bit more how important finding the right PRODUCER is.

Yip the lads weren't wrong there he produced the stray cats well. That's why they came to the UK as they didn't make it in the states as it had already been done in the 50s and that's when the British rockabilly scene erupted and came out of the under ground but unfortunately short lived but never died off as its still running today another 40 years on what music has survived that long yeh keep pushing out the one hit wonders judges £££$$$$. Lol

love the george jones version, but this is epic! \m/

Andrew Gent Nope, edmunds aint shit when you've got vastly superior producers in L.A. in that time period. Brian was smart to go after the uk market though so hats off to him for taking the brits money.
