Has not lost an ounce of talent and ability in 30 years. Impressive performance.

Brilliant, so crisp, all these years later. He even sings every backup vocal lyrics. Passionate and talented. RRHF he deserves.

They don't make 'em like Dave Edmund's anymore..a true musician and a star :-)

One of those tracks that still sounds superb 40 years on. Loved it then and now. Never tire of hearing it . A great era to be Alive

They set the tone for the shitty socio-political environment we're in now (eg. "Greed is Good"; NuLabour: My greatest achievement: Thatcher)...which is a *great* shame, as I agree, the music was great, New Wave. Music full of quirky personality and character, viewed and heard on unifying media...

I was so fortunate to have caught a Dave Edmunds live show in the late eighties. He tore the house down! I've seen just about everyrone in concert, and Dave Edmunds stands as one of my favorites. The guy respects the craft, and I hope he continues to perform until he'a 100.

I was 15 years old when the song was released it was a classic video which I first watched 6 years ago on KZread it was a classic song I wish we could go back to the days of the 1970.s

I was at an unnanounced Dave Edmunds concert at my college in August 1982. He was huge, of course, with the college crowd in those days, but by the time word got out, half the concert was over! More importantly, I sat at the foot of the two-foot high stage on the grass of the quad. Happy times!

I've always been a fan of his musicianship and standards. Dave's responsible for some great music since the late 60's or early 70's. He's also been responsible for the Carl Perkins and Friends concert. Thanks Dave!

Elvis wrote it and recorded it on his album 'get happy' but of course Dave made a great hit of it.

This guy is a legend, fantastic good old rock.

@Steve Sturges Yes Gilson Lavis who played I think on the first nine Squeeze albums but you might want to check that. I seem to remember Elvis’s drummer from The Attractions, another great drummer, Pete Thomas playing on Some Fantastic Place. Gilson now tours with Jools but also an impressive artist I seem to remember from an old Modern Drummer article and he has had exhibitions so multi-talented.

It's kind of sad how some singers try to instill new life into an old song, with a voice that just doesn't cut it anymore. Dave Edmunds isn't one of those. He sounds just as good, just as fresh as he did back in 1979.
