I heard this from a thing called a record, this was back from 1989 from a girl who gave it to me on a 45rpm record. I loved the song, looked for a while few years back found it. Music of different kinds from years can bring on feeling from the past and present, good old days.

Dave Edmunds made a great cover of this great Fogerty song, which was also covered by Rick Nelson, one of Fogerty's rockabilly idols. Somehow, Fogerty never had great hits with his "John Fogerty" album from 1975, though it had great songs. Status Quo had a big hit in 1977 and made their signature song with "Rockin' All Over the World" from that album.

Mainly because, while it's John's first LP away from Fantasy in America, in several other countries, it was still on Fantasy. I think John's disputes with Saul Zaentz kind of hurt the sales in America... too bad too, the whole John Fogerty LP is great.

Agreed about John's wonderful self-titled album. I read somewhere that John's new label was too busy promoting the Eagles, and didn't do much in the way of promoting John's album. I wish that John's follow-up album "Hoodoo" had been released. The executives at the new label told John it wasn't very good, but I disagree and am thankful that bootleg copies exist.

What a great song. I remember when this came out so many years ago. Think I was 11 and I was a huge Rockpile fan but technically this is Dave Edmunds not really Rockpile cuz this was done from the twinging album as I recall which was right after the Fallout between Nick and Dave. It's just always invoking wonderful memories whenever I hear this

By the time this was released and the "twangin'" album came out, Rockpile had split. Edmunds and Lowe had a minor falling out hence Basher would have been unlikely to come back just to mime in a vid. Bremner and Williams fell out with neither party in fact both played on Lowe's first post-Rockpile outing.
