Absolutely no issue with what Forest said, if anything they are spot on, and they are actually saying what everyone is thinking. That was one of the worst refereeing performances I’ve seen. Forget VAR for a minute, how has Anthony Taylor not given at least 2 of those penalties on the field. Stuart Attwell on VAR needs seriously looking at, a Luton fan with 3 of the most biased, blatant incorrect decisions you’ll see.

@@adrianrennocks1007that’s true, the audio is key to this. The first one and the second one for me are both penalties but if he says I’ve seen both and I’m not giving them it’s harder for VAR to intervene on clear and obvious. The third one however he clearly made the gesture he’s got the ball, that moment VAR has to intervene as it’s now a factual matter, Taylor says Young got the ball, VAR can clearly see that he has not - that right there is Clear and Obvious. It was a shocking display on field and in the VAR room.

What is the point of having VAR, if they haven’t the balls to overturn the refs decision. Their excuse is the ref is reffing the game. VAR can’t even correct wrong decisions

Everton fans, some of them said that Forest should have had 2 penalties st least. Ashley Young really jeopardised Everton's chances of winning the game. Luckily they did win, but nevertheless it is crystal clear as day that the Established Top 6 will always have decisions go their way and the 14 other clubs will have decisions go against them. I want Everton and Nottingham Forest to both stay up for a few reasons, for Everton, they have been top-flight regulars for 7 decades now, Liverpool cannot have its two teams in different divisions and in Evertons case, they have been punished for being honest and truthful with their stadium plans and finances, unlike Man City who have denied the allegations against them and vice versa. Forest - It would be hugely unfair to see them go down again after 25 years trying to return and like Everton and the 12 other non-Big 6 clubs they have not had decisions go their way in recent games. So I feel for both clubs, as an opposing fan of Everton and Forest, they always have been big top-flight names and to see them be controversially relegated in place of two of the three that will go down, if it happens will be terrible. I believe Forest and Everton will stay up against the odds and the three promoted teams will return to the EFl..

Nottingham Forest, Wolves, Everton, Coventry, Burnley, Liverpool, Chelsea etc... and obviously more will feel hard done by the VAR. The purpose of the VAR is to get the right results, but it has failed. Nottingham Forest had the balls to speak out, and from now on, everyone should. Also the EPL is getting destroyed by bureaucracy, media and pundits who have their analysis/script done by someone else. Our once beautiful game is now, a ugly mess, full of cheating/corruption. Also that referee who officiated the Forest v Everton match should be sacked and examined to see if his cranium is leaking, which would explain a lot.

@@tenerifereddog3943 A draw would have left Luton with the chance of going above both Forest and Everton. However, to do that would require Luton to gain points and assume neither Forest or Everton gained points themselves, which is highly unlikely. Corruptly ensuring that Everton won, in my opinion gives Luton the best chance of escaping relegation.

I don't watch every game, but it seems that VAR is being used to manipulate the final outcome. Since the Liverpool and Tottenham game at the beginning of the season, instead of getting better, it has got worse....

Good. I hope this sticks to Atwell. He's not done his job properly. The Prem is the biggest league in the world, the money involved obscene. You should be on point. If I was inept in my job I'd be on warnings and then out on my ear. Why are these people being protected. To be inept in an arena where the stakes are that high deserves comeback. And it's not the first time he's messed up like this.

I fully understand how upset Forest are, we've all had these dreadful decisions go against us this season and, in my opinion, Forest were perfectly within their rights to call the officials performance out but maybe its not good when you make accusations about someone's integrity in public. Call out the standards of match officials, absolutely, but don't go down the "favouritism" route, it could open up a massive can of worms.

The point people are missing is, forest did it the right way at the beginning and went directly to PGMOL before the game but they didn't listen. So now they are listening because they went to social media. So whos at fault then. If PGMOL did listen, and someone else was in VAR and Everton still won 2nil, then this would have been avoided.

Why do people have a problem with questioning integrity? Surely a standard part of checks and balances is to check people’s integrity, and then to review it. The refereeing decisions were so bad that it seems perfectly reasonable to raise it. Not from a Forest fan BTW

If the FA or premier league do not believe that a referee (who is a Luton fan) could be biased and cheat why do they assume players would cheat by making all matches on the last day kick off at the same time to avoid cheating.

If you have a conflict of interest, you should not be officiating the game. That applies to all teams in the relegation zone... I would expect no officials with a Luton or Burnley affiliation involved in this game, and really, if it was at all possible, keep all Brentford or Crystal Palace supporters away as well. It's almost as it the PGMOL doesn't understand the concept of a conflict of interest.

How can it be considered 'below the belt' to complain about Stuart Atwell after the match when they raised the issue before the match and nothing was done. They did the right thing, PGMOL ignored them and now after some very dubious VAR decisions the problem that Forest highlighted has become a reality. Thats on the PGMOL. Its amateurism at best. The system is not fit for purpose

Here’s the issue. I don’t think there’s any conspiracies or cheating etc. The reason why people go to that thought is because they think that ‘it can’t be that the Refs are that stupid there must be something more’. Well there isn’t anything more, there isn’t any cheating or conspiracy, the Refs are just that stupid and terrible at their jobs and the FA & Prem league are being embarrassed by the PGMOL every week!!
