I had autoplay on while reading Lord of the Rings and this came on as I reached the part where Frodo, Sam, and Gollum reach the Morgul Vale and the dead city of Minas Morgul, with its deathly, pale light set within a valley darker than the night sky and a putrid, steaming river running in between. The armies of Mordor, all in black, have marched out of the cavernous gates with the Witch King of Angmar at their head and behind them, east over the Ephel Duath, an omnious red light can be seen coming out of Gorgoroth, lighting up the peaks and ridges of the mountains like jagged teeth. What perfect scenery for this music.

In one dream I could see thousands of people getting caught in the black tornado. In most of the dreams I would stand at the shoreline and witness the clouds coming in from the horizon. As if the clouds came from abroad. I had this dreams before the covid outbreak and I dont get those dreams anymore ever since. A Bad omen dream perhaps.

I ended up in this kind of music after a morning before I woke up, listening to something speaking to me in the silence of mind: “...after all you’re the son of Ilfür and Eldri”. Then I woke up. The thing is, i didn’t knew any words in this language, nor have (as far as I know) any nordic relatives. And even don’t have contact with people from Iceland. I felt those words, and understood the abstract meaning... then went searching for their meaning online, just confirm the meaning of those words. Felt like I clearly understand my nature, and from where I belong. I’m still filled with curiosity regarding what exactly happened to me.

As much i love Danheim - no, he is not alone, nor he is the only one who mastered it (even though this project is one of the best). You should also check Heilung, if not already. It's beatifull. Also, I can understand you pretty good. My homeland Russia lost much of it slavic ancestry - too many was lost after coming of chirstianity, cause they were not kind to old ways. But i often find solace in understanding, that those kinds of tribal, ancient music have much indo-europian, protoindoeuropean and nostratic ancestry, and that we share more than we sometimes realise.

There are people very much into reviving Kemetic religion, and I think there's new temples in America to the Egyptian gods! I know there's a lot of Neo-Pagan interest in them, but I think there is also a lot of people with a more Reconstructionist approach. As a lot of the wall-paintings and texts have survived, you are in an excellent position to get into the spiritual heritage of where you're from :)
