When I was a young kid I was told a story about how our viking ancestors had discovered a far away land to the west, and they were all celebrating and having a huge feast because they truly believed there were finally monsters and giants there for them to slay. That's some of the most metal shit I've heard still to this day.

I agree, it's great for coding! There're hardly any actual lyrics that would break your concentration and the singing that's there you can't understand anyway, so it doesn't matter if you don't fully listen. Any recommendations for other artists? I've been listening to a lot of Wardruna and Danheim lately but don't like Heilung.

Whenever I feel low on energy, I listen to Danheim. It always excites me, makes me want to go out and do something, move my body, be active and feel alive. It's great music and I'm deeply grateful for it.

While I was walking through the forest and listening to this music through my headphones, a deer came towards me and stopped in front of me for a few seconds it was like looking at each other...that was incredible I perceived the world around me very differently

Very nice. A situation like that is indeed touching. I have had similar experiences, including predators. A female leopard with cubs.. Now that is frightening and awe inspiring in the same time. Her eyes are like coals, burning holes in your soul.

Danheim’s music is pure amazing, this music makes me feel feelings that i dont normally feel in my everyday life. As a scandinavian it feels like my genes of my ancestors are coming to life within me and it feels amazing! Skål from Sweden!

Some people like to watch asmr videos and listen to asmr audios. My asmr is listening to a guy making guttural noises with rhythmical drums. This is so satisfying to listen to and I don't even have the excuse of heritage, because I'm asian and the closest I ever got to nordic stuff is skyrim.

My ancestors hailed from Yorkshire England where they came from before that not really certain, but for some reason your music makes me feel centered. Came across your channel. I'd just finished bingeing on The Last Kingdom and Vikings: Valhalla. I'm constantly searching for music... especially good music. Most of the time I'm looking to be entertained came across your channel in recommends after tapping in Viking Folk Metal. It didn't entertain me it centered me. Well my drinking horn got upgraded to a signal horn since when I cannot drink out of it anymore. I think its time to buy a new drinkhorn..

I find that I have less trouble focusing on my homework if I treat it like a battle, and a good grade like a war trophy. This music and others like it help me get in that headspace.

This music is perfect for reading and calm myself down when Im too nervous, thank you Danheim!

I listen to this when I raid my pantry.
