There is no doubt the fighters are underpaid. I've been watching this sport for decades and it is astounding, based on the size of the company, that several longtime UFC fighters are still getting paid $30-40k a fight and the fight bonus is still a measly $50k. How can you say you're one of the biggest sports in the world and still paying your athletes chicken scratch?

And you do? What are you comparing their pay to? NBA? NFL? Boxers? Which MMA org pays better? Do you know the UFC p&L & profit margins? Or how much profit their parent company takes? Most fighters bitchin about pay are the ones who suck at promoting themselves & their fights. The fighter pay fan whining hasnt & will never change anything. The fighters can form a union, promote themselves better, stop under cutting eachother, etc. Lots of ways to make more $. They pay all 400 or so fighters, including the 50% who barely make a dime of revenue for the company. & they sign the dotted line, they literally agree to their pay BEFORE fighting.

I think the ultimate question would be "how much do *you* make a year as UFC president?" I guarantee he wouldn't answer it. When he gave the Nelk boy 250k for his bday that was a slap in the face to the fighters. NFL/NBA players share 50% of the revenue while UFC fighters get 19-20%. ? And NBA/NFL each have 32 owners while UFC has *two* plus Dana as the face of the company. For 2020... UFC revenue/year apprx 1 billion NBA 8.3 billion NFL 11 billion So that leaves 200 million for apprx 700 fighters 4.2 billion for apprx 500 NBA players and 5.5 billion for apprx 2000 NFL players. So... Owners+Dana apprx 270 million/each UFC fighters apprx 285,000 each NBA owners apprx 131 million each NBA players apprx 8 million each NFL owners apprx 172 million each NFL players apprx 2.8 million each So Dana + Ferteeta make more than NBA/NFL owners while fighters make *significantly less* than NFL/NBA players do..like 10x less than NFL players and 30x less NBA players

On one hand he's given them the opportunity to fight on The biggest stage in the world On the other hand he's elevated the sport to such a level that these fighters are being paid more now than ever before in history I certainly think they are underpaid, but the ufc isn't anywhere near as established as the NBA, NFL etc or as profitable as soccer leagues in Europe, the fighting scene is much more unpredictable and caters to a smaller audience, everybody loves fighting, but few ppl love it enough to buy a ppv U also have the sport being dependent on personalities like Connor, Jones, lesnar etc, it's nothing like the other seasonal sports
