Immediately after the matter went to the board who adapted the rules for future fights. If anything it wasn’t George’s fault and he helped improve the rules for future fights. What a dogshit reason to dislike someone for being the goat.

I really appreciate that not only he's giving great financial advice avoiding the glorification of material goods and instead use his funds to explore the world and improve himself, but he's also teaching the importance of taking care of your family. Great guy!!!

Just don't see it as lending, I see it as investment. Makes it easier to judge if it's worth it for yourself, if someone isn't worth it you made a bad investment.
So much respect for this guy, I have no doubt he is as genuine and real as he comes off on camera. We need more role models like GSP

@@CoolPandaTheMovieNerd No one is perfect, people have their opinions on him, but as far as MMA fighters go, GSP is about as close to perfect. If you want to hate on him for something as silly as "greasing" and that's all you have to stand on, then you do you brother, you're entitled to your opinion. I'm sure whoever you consider the best has something that tarnished their reputation at one point or another. I've met GSP and chatted with him before at a wrestling competition in Canada, you would never know the guy was a world champ. He was there to learn wrestling techniques and was looking for younger wrestlers to teach him. He made the young guys feel incredible because they were teaching him. So I'm sticking to my opinion lol

yes. this is a very hard but true advice. lotta times you feel like you've got to help a brother, even when you are just barely making money.... because maybe that guy is jobless. Watch his stint on the Joe Rogan Experience. It's a 20ish minute conversation on how much he loves dinosaurs. Short of it, he literally said he came out of retirement because he ran out of money because he kept spending it at dig sites across the world.

Always loved watching him fight but I learned to also listen and soak up everything he has to say about his values cuz this mans the greatest champion of ufc history

GSP is the greatest champion the UFC ever had. He avenged his two losses, continued to elevate his game throughout his career, and most importantly acted like a champion outside of the ring. We are blessed to have had him. The GOAT

Absolutely smart move. He got his immediate family some reliable, safe and cheap to maintain cars. Something like 50% of professional atheletes are broke after a couple years of leaving the sport.

Smart move. Cars last about 5 years in Canada because of all the salt on the roads during winter and the brutal temperatures. Plus Japanese cars always start in the Winter!

It's my first time hearing about the fight that you needed to pay thousands of dollars just to fight in the UFC. This guy was a legend for me because he was the first fight I watched in UFC. He is smart on talking to a financial advisor for his first million and he used it for helping his siblings and parents and his own family's dreams and friends. My respect grew with this video.

@@ofrenic francis ngannou, the heavy weight world champion gets 500k a fight for being the CHAMP and defending his title. compare that to how much boxers get. canelo vs plant, plant got 10 million for losing against canelo in 1 fight and not even being a champ! ngannou crying over 500k is definently fine.

@@ofrenic the ufc is a big organization that can pay well. Not saying they should pay 10 mil a fight but definently more than 500k for a world champ in the biggest mma organization in the world. Gaa compared to premier league is a bad comparison and you know it too

Anyone who's been a huge fan of Georges isn't surprised by this. He's just always been squared away. Humble, respectable, and responsible. Favorite athlete of all time and an inspirational role model for me since my teenage years when he was rising the ranks in the UFC. Such a fun career to witness.....you're the man GSP

I watched him beat Matt Hughes in their second fight. 2008 las Vegas in the Mandalay bay even went to GSP'S after party. Met a bunch of fighters including Anderson Silva and the big man himself Dana White. Really proud of this guy.

Learned that the hard way, haven't lent anyone money for a few years now, won't again unless it's a very small amount.
