    I could not find OEM diff mounts for my e34 so looks like I’ll be switching everything over to poly. Also you’re local to me I see, subbed!

    I love the videos. I can't wait to get poly mounts for my e36. Do you have a diy for the oil filter housing gasket?

    I do not have a DIY for the filter housing gasket yet. its fairly straight forward though, take the belt off, take the alternator, 6 bolts to get the housing off, clean + new gasket, reinstall. if you do it yourself, I would highly advise you properly torque the filter housing bolts. the first time i did a filter housing gasket i didnt torque it and it leaked again, torquing them solved the leak.

    my dude 80a on skateboard trucks feels like a marshmellow and the fact that you can compress 80a with your fingernail by several mm says a lot. I went 95a on just the trans mounts and the difference was substantial. I couldn't shift mid-turn before and would often shift into a dead area for 2nd gear

    Are the 95's loud/vibrating bad? I dont really mind noises and feelings from upgraded parts but if its terrible ill go with 80

    @@tegthhu7678 i run solid evreything , slr adjustable fcab, synchrodesign works mono ball rtabs, bc shit coils and I don't mind it at all. It's pretty pronounced at idle but when I'm driving I don't notice it much. Ithe 95a trans mounts make the trans whine barely but the 95a motor mounts added a lot more like 5x as much nvh but the 95a trans mounts move a lot when paired with stock motor mounts. Thing is 80a poly bushing for skateboards tear under 110 pounds of pressure, and in poly durometere comparssions on youtube you can see how easy it is to compress by hand vs 95a

    You want your engine mounts to be stiffer than your trans mounts or you’ll risk cracking your bell housing

    this is a random question, my friend and I have sputter in the rear end when we throttle hard in 2nd. I can't tell if it is the cv joint or the diff, what do you think? I have an e36 he has an e46 if that helps.

  • @M3NACE

    @M3NACE

    6 жыл бұрын

    Paul Morris it might be the CV, i would jack up the rear end and take a look underneath. Give it a good shakedown, pull and push the cv's around and see if there is any play in either of them. Keep in mind the CV will expand and contract (left and right movement) but should not move side to side or up and down. Make sure none of the boots are torn or throwing grease around. If they are fine, i would replace the diff fluid and see if that resolves the issue, if the CV's are fine and new diff fluid doesnt solve the issue, I would look at rebuilding the pumpkin. I would also take a good look and teh driveshaft u-joints, flex disk, and the center support bearing.

    I had the same experience. I've heard that torqueing them too far can cause that. Messaged condor speed shop to see if they have a recommended torque spec. I'll try with the lighter torque soon and give an update once I have the ITBs on my car.
