Revshift Engine/Transmission Mount Install and Review - Project BMW E46
It's long overdue, but in today's episode of Project E46, I am replacing the engine and transmission mounts with Revshift polyurethane mounts. With a 95A durometer bushing, they are stiff, reasonably priced, and, crucially, bright green, which looks cool.
So, here is what you need to know to install them, and here's what you need to know about how they make your car feel, sound and go.

Thanks for the video. I had RevShift motor mounts in my E46 and just made the mistake of installing the Garagistic through-bolt transmission mounts. Possibly the worst thing I've ever done to a car. Probably pick up a set of the RevShift transmission mounts since they have an isolated design. As far as the better steering response goes, it probably has more to do with the increased triangulation stiffness of the whole package to the transmission mount brace keeping the front subframe more stable.
Just did some revshift trans mounts on my m235 manual and so far so good. The added firmness and mechanical feel is so good. There is a slight increase in vibration but honestly not that bad.

Thanks for the video. Vibration from worn transmission mounts is the symptom I want to eliminate. So I wouldn't want a solution that doesn't eliminate the vibration. I'm pretty sure I saw some stiffer rubber mount options a couple of years ago; stiffer than stock, softer than polyurethane. Would like to find a video on those, ...anyone?

M3 mounts work
I was running the 95a garagistic polyurethane mounts and it was so harsh. I just installed the condor UHMW mounts, it still rattles I would say a little less but definitely not like stock. I notice the most harshness around 3000 rpm. Sometimes, when increasing speed feels like the vibration changes intensity, you kinda hear a knocking sound. IDK if that's just movement from the driveshaft or what. I mean I've been living with it but I will say it's kinda scary. Does anyone else experience this?

I’m having the exact same problem I have condor speed shop Polly trans mounts and at 2K rpms it vibrates like crazy

Have you guys checked your driveshaft center support bearing?
How are these mounts now that it’s been a year? Comments?
