Early ones had Buick motors. My father Ron Schirmer was one on the 3 men that founded Elite Heritage Motors that made the Duesenberg ll out of elroy Wisconsin. It was my father that found and purchased the original dies that made the bumpers . Light housings. Wheels. Grills. Ect.

Awesome! 😃 Hope you got through everything you wanted to see. We have lots of great new attractions coming soon, so stay tuned!
Sorry guys, it may be a "real" Duesenberg but it is not even close to the original 30s car with the exception of the general appearance. The biggest difference by far is the engine, and that is a huge difference! I don't mean to give you a hard time on this beautiful, historical car but I just never was a fan of continuations, re-manufactured, etc. cars. Fred and Auggie would faint dead away if they knew their creation was re-released with a Ford engine! Couldn't help but notice you have the external exhaust pipes coming out both sides.....the original model SJs had them on the right side only, where the exhaust manifold was located. The left side of the engine had the supercharger and intake manifold there. One last note, the name is correctly pronounced Dooz-en-berg, not Doose-en-berg.

It was not manufactured by Duesenberg Motors in 1932 - now you tell me if it's a real Duesenberg.

“The Duesenberg II is not an original, and it is not a duplicate. It looks like an old Duesy, but that is as far as the comparison goes. And whether or not Old Duesy owners want to admit the truth, if an original Duesenberg and a Duesenberg II were placed side by side on a 1934 showroom floor, chances are excellent 99 percent of the buyers would choose the II” - Le Roi Tex Smith, Publisher of Old cars Weekly "Speaking for myself and all the Duesenbergs living today, we are very proud and ever so grateful of the work you and your crew are doing to keep this wonderful car on the road." - Glen Laun - Grandnephew of Fred & Augie Duesenberg

We have a lot more details and pictures of these cars on our website if that interests you. www.volocars.com/the-attraction/exhibits/duesenberg-room
OMG!!!
It’s a beautiful looking vehicle. But even if the company owned the Duesenberg trademark. How can this be considered a real one if it’s based on a Ford truck and uses a pushrod Ford V8? Rather than the magnificent original Duesy twin-cam, 4 valve per cylinder straight 8 motor...an engine that was way ahead of its time back in the 1930s.

Maybe as sold, or still on its museum attraction page but it has been sold for nearly a year now.
If it was built between 1977 and 2012 then it's not a 1932 now is it? It's a reproduction.

Disagree on calling it a "reproduction" however yes, it was built in later years as the ad copy correctly reflects.

Volo Museum Auto Sales Please look up the word reproduction. That is the accurate description. Even if this was made by duesenberg workers brought back from the dead in an original Duesenberg factory It would STILL be a reproduction.
