I almost bought one in 1974 in original condition with no rust. The Hydramatic was not working. Asking price was one hundred dollars in Tucson Arizona.

Difference between a 58 Chevy Impala and a 58 Pontiac Bonneville. 41 cubic inches upfront and 8 inches of height on the tail lamps

First year that U.S. manufacturers adopted *quad headlights.* They were only legal in just over half the states and so, frustrated at the pace of their legal efforts, the car-makers just said, _"Screw it. We'll make it the states' problem, not ours."_

some manufacturers had quad headlights in 57, i have a 57 Mercury wagon with quad headlamps

@@MrMotorama Yep, I just looked it up. Some Mercury, Ford & Imperials were available with quads *as an option in '57* for the states where it was legal. The only '57 which came *exclusively with quads* was the 1957 Nash Ambassador, as Nash believed enforcement would be nonexistent and that the laws would soon change. (Plus, several months into the model year, the 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham changed to quads)

Where are you? Im in the UK and its probably the only one here hence buying one without the air ride wasnt an easy option as there was no others available. It wasnt modified much for the air ride as its a coils all round car anyway and you could get them air ride from new. Here its a £35k car, its probably a 35-40k USD car i guess.
