I broke my left tib/fib and dislocated my left ankle. Severely sprained my right ankle. Also hit my head. I was in a wheelchair after surgery for 2-3 months. I thought I broke both my legs. The worst pain I've ever felt and sickening when I tried moving my left leg but my foot didn't move. The emergency care where I live in the USA pales in comparison to the fine first responders in this video. They picked me up under my arms and knees, leaving my broken leg freely dangling.

I have osteogenesis imperfecta. It’s essentially brittle bone disease. I’ve broken quite a few bones including my hip. And I’ll tell you right now. Nothing I’ve experienced so far is worse then breaking both femurs and cracking my pelvis at the same time. Immediately after it happens there is this sort of dread that sets in. Because you just know that no matter what you do, there will be pain ahead.

I had a full seperation break on my pelvis when I was 14- the right "Ear" of it had a clear gap on the X ray. It was rough. Even worse that I did it on a Tuesday and didn't get to a hospital till Friday because my Dad assumed I was being dramatic! When we saw the X-ray he said "Oh...Sorry". It was pretty worrying seeing such a large gap which should've been thick bone. The only reason I got the X-ray was I had an appointment to check on a ruptured shoulder tendon and we literally said "Um, while we're here....". About 3 months off school whilst I could barely move. All I got for it was about 100 boxes of paracetamol which was utterly useless for the pain. I wish I'd had people as good as this look after me, it would've made everything so much easier.

Not from the area but got similar suicidal cyclists near me. Driving a tractor up a road like that (taking up pretty much the full width) and having some knobjockey torpedoing down the hill trying to shave .02 second off a PB is a nightmare. I'm all for people getting out and about but FFS stay in control (30 MPH around a blind bend is not in control) I have better things to do than spend my days scraping lycra and energy gels off my grill and picking shards of carbon fiber out of the rad. The few cyclists out there that think they own the road because of some two-wheeled eco superiority complex can sod off. If Farmers, with an understandable need for haste, can prioritise their need for speed below public safety by slowing down then why can't a cyclist? In conclusion, whilst I'm definitely not a fan of the common garden Karen I see where she's coming from. Sorry for the unload, some cyclists piss me off.
