    I’m just curios, would going at heights with a chopper increase the pressure in his brain and cause more damage? Or does it have virtually no effect? Or is it simply worth it as it’s faster?

  • @finnoloughlin8532

    @finnoloughlin8532

    4 жыл бұрын

    They don't seem to fly very high in the chopper so the pressure decrease would be negligible

  • @loganhallahan164

    @loganhallahan164

    I'm pretty sure medical helis have the right to fly much lower for that reason right there. Even if they did go higher, the limit for a heli is lower than a commercial plane so pressure wouldn't be absurdly high, but I'm sure with a brain bleed and other pressures from wounds, flying lower is very important.

    Logan Hallahan yeah I’ve watched quite a few of these videos lol and yeah from what I’ve seen they don’t fly really high when they have the patient in there (I think) they just need a helicopter as it’s quicker

    As long as you're below a few thousand...you're good...any risk is worth the difference to get you to the hospital...a brain bleed will only recover with "Bright Lights and Cold Steel" (operating room) as we say in EMS...so its definitely worth the small risk...

    I believe they have fire service ready at the helipad just in case anything should go wrong with the helicopter, if it crashes or leaks fuel or something. They seem to be there for every helicopter drop as a precaution, they just don’t always show it on the program.
