I have the yoke in my model y and absolutely love it. I like the looks and feel. I drive with my right arm resting on the console and my left arm resting on the armrest. With my hand holding on to the bottom left corner of the yoke, perfect.

I LOVE my yoke.

I installed a yoke on my MYP 2022 about a year ago. Much more comfortable to drive.

Brian, I noticed that you didn't show the removal of the top housing of the factory steering wheel so you can get to the controller/computer box underneath which is suppose to be screwed in with T10 screw correct? I also noticed that once you swap the controller/computer into the new box, it just slips into the cavity of new cyber steering wheel and not screwed in at all. In a different video of a yoke install, the Tesstudio installer removed the guts (controller, scroll wheel controller boxes (left and right), etc.) of the factory steering wheel and installed it into the aftermarket wheel. He mentioned that this helps eliminate possible incompatibility between the aftermarket scroll wheel controller and the car itself. Thoughts?

Love to palm the wheel coming out of a parking space, this wheel is perfect. Sometimes like to straight arm resting on top rail, NY style driving.

Thanks for the review and for talking me out of the alcantara version. I know I would have regretted it after a few months, especially with young adult children that drive the car.

Removing the springed clip from the original steering wheel to remove the chip for the heating element I think you should throw in this video. Did not know that until looking at other videos and saw an extra step in the process that you did not make the public aware of. Need to include ALL steps for a DIY training video.

Love the look but does the new “squirkel” have a Heater function like the wheel you’re replacing here?

Can you please post the measurements L x H. Will this work with Highland since all the buttons are on the steering wheel? In other words can you remove the top plate and change with your own factory Highland cover/insides to make all the functionalities work?

Could you measure the gap between the top of the airbag and the bottom side of the wheel top please. Thanks!

The reason they have you disconnect the power before messing with airbags is because if you accidentally create a short the airbag CAN go of with the car parked. However, the possibility of that very specific short it extremely remote, especially if you are halfway careful.

Is there a self test to ensure that the airbag will work?

I love the yoke, but I had all sorts of warnings when I installed, cars started braking and a grinding sound was happening. Please help what did I do wrong? Thanks for the video. I have a 2024 y, I hear that could be the issue

The only reason I would considerba yoke is that I have issues with the wheel obscuring the Model S driver's screen. I wonder if this would help or be even worse than a regular wheel in a Model S or X.

I wish the Cybertruck's steering wheel was just an inch or two bigger all around. It might be comfortable but it just looks undersized.

It's better than the regular yoke. I still would prefer the regular wheel. Cyber truck felt like a little kids wheel from a little tikes car to me.

This clone is bigger than the Cybertruck wheel, so it will not feel like a little kid's wheel based on size. They just cloned the shape and appearance.

$300 bucks is very reasonable imo

Would this work on a 2018 model 3. I have not seen the new wheel with the button on the bottom of the wheel.

No, your car won't have the wires going to the steering wheel that carry the power for heating.
