With a plan (kinda) in place, Chach went ahead and started the first of many many tasks: Cutting up the firewall on the AE86 so we can freely place the super tall K24 wherever and however we like. Many more updates to come on this build!! Let's go!!!

in my country there are only 12 ae86 models because they are collectors' and I don't know, if I made a car from scratch using the same chassis it would be a crime but I would try anyway
Great work. Love your commitment, even if cutting up a good 86 chassis makes me a little sad.

True, but we bought this shell for the exact reason of NOT messing with my other clean chassis... Plus it came caged so why not go all the way!
Previous owner of my ae86 had made a similar cut and im trying to put it back together. Interested in selling the piece you cut out? 😂

Hit up Jimmy Oaks as he has a k swapped ae86 on ITBs, looks to be going in a similar direction as his but in your style of course. And I’m sure you prolly know this already👌🏼

We definitely already know. But also there’s no real reason to contact him at this stage when the majority of my project has been planned out and I’ve got a vision of my own to follow!

WOW that roll cage is so far away from the body in the main hoop , and the weird dangerous rear stays . It looks like someone didn't follow any standard ROPS drawing and just built it to be easy to install and weld around . I don't think if you gave the keys to it once finished anybody who has been around anything Motorsport safety related would dare drive that car with that cage .

Good coz I’m never handing the keys to anyone else 🤣 We can always look into reworking the cage later on. I’m not too worried.

@@JackieDing86 Hope you add some anti intrusion work into the firewall thats had any of it's factory strength removed whilst your at it ... Yes when your young you don't worry about safety but injury and death aren't worth the cost of a well designed cage .
Not gonna put a Blacktop 4age engine from an ae101, ae92 or something? Disappointed, here's a like.
