Harsh. But fair. if i could add in my two cents though i feel like appledash may work better than one might think. sure the whole getting into full on fist fights wasnt exactly great but no one has to say that relationships cant have a rough start or that either of them even had feelings for one another at this point. i feel that applejack and rainbow dash's rivalry may help them in a relationship since by competing in....just about everything they would be constantly pushing each other to be better ponies be it by improving a skill or improving relations with others. i feel like the couple would definatly end up at each others throats fairly often about many things but i dont think either of them would ever get so worked up about it that it would cause an actual fight or a breakup since one or the other or both will likely step down and try to be the bigger mare if they feel that the situation is starting to threaten a lasting rift between them.

Ashleigh Ball likes the AppleDash ship. She posted a thing on Facebook awhile ago with was a piece of fan art of RD and AJ getting married (and kissing) and she said "Happy world pride day" and there was a little emoji of an apple then a rainbow and then a wedding ring.

@John Higgins i mean it’s fair. why would they be living together? dash is a part of the wonderbolts and can afford her own place. she talks about juggling chores with AJ on her farm and even in the last panel she puts her hoof on AJs shoulder after giving her an accomplished look. none of its 100% confirmed but it’s easy to use context clues and see it was definitely implied

You may guess that the fanfics are behind on this shipping couple. You may have guessed that I don't ship characters. It is like mixing two liquids together. Some may blend or they don't. I think shipping should be left to a few experts. I do know that cartoon couples are the greatest pairings. If you like the cartoon couples, which one would you chose? Nice work on this video.

while I agree with a lot of what you're saying, I do have some ideas of my own. from personal experience with my own family and friends, you can piss them pff pretty easily. but, especially with friends, they seem to learn when you're joking/not being serious/boasting/etc.. AJ has a lot of patience, like you said.. I feel like, if they did somehow get to know each other better, AJ would simply learn and understand not to get so mad at every little thing she says. She would probably end up taking much care of RD, ending in a loving, sort of parental, non-platonic relationship between the two.

...Now I wanna write a story based on this concept...

Thank you for this video!! It is extremely annoying dealing with Bronies that ship AppleDash under the stupid excuse of, "Oh they fight because they're hot for each other!" It's a very outdated and incorrect way of thinking when it comes to interactions between two people. Just because two people are competitive or argue/fight with each other at almost the drop of a hat, does NOT mean that they are sexually attracted to each other or should be together. It's like when misguided people try to tell children that when someone is mean to them; bullies them, picks on them, gets physical in a violent way (hair pulling, punching, biting, kicking, pinching, slapping), calls them names, or destroys their property (breaks toys, kicks over blocks or sandcastles), that the antagonist is doing it because they have a crush on the person they're tormenting. It's a very dangerous way of thinking; especially when you start telling them such things at a young age, because when they enter their teen years and adulthood, they think an abusive spouse is just showing them they love them through emotional and physical abuse, since that's what they were raised to believe.

I laughed SO hard when you yelled about that Dash Sexuality video. I was in fact wondering if that would come up LOL! Anyway, I do agree with this video. Thought though they might work out as a sort of... temporary fling, it would be basically just that. I don't think there could be any actual love between them. Friendship, sure. But not love of, well... anything besides a friendly rival. Not even a deep friendship, let alone anything more. Shipping is ALL for enjoying your ideas. Though I do think people shouldn't take it so seriously, nor should it saturate a fandom. Trust me... I like Black Butler... you can... you can imagine the horrors I see as someone who does NOT ship that shit... Sorry... off tangent... Anyway... My question is... do you think any of the mane six COULD be in a relationship? Be it long or short term, romantic or merely physical. Etc. (Assuming they were all homosexual and homoromantic)

+00WolfSpirit Pretty much every mane six pairing that doesn't involve Rainbow Dash (though she might go well with Fluttershy) or Pinkie Pie could probably work. Rainbow is very irritable and self-centered, which _could_ be worked on, but she doesn't seem like she'd mesh with any of the rest of the mane six except Fluttershy. And Pinkie may be shown as having a "calm and more sensitive side" in fan fiction, but except for situations that are _really_ dramatic, she hasn't been given that in canon. That's just my opinion, though. AppleDash is the only one I can actually analyze and say "it wouldn't work".

As per canon personalities, I think the only sort of... anything that Pinkie or Dash could really have with anyone, even outside of the mane six, would be pretty much one night stands/single night dates and not really go further. Both have potential, like you said, Dash's issues could be worked on. And I think Pinkie can eventually mature up. But until then, yea I don't see it working. But Rarity and Applejack. You really think that's possible? There was even an episode with how opposite they are, I believe. Or is it the reason that would work and AppleDash would'nt all comes down to that self-centeredness which Dash has.

***** Here's the thing: Applejack and Rainbow Dash are constantly arguing, including when paired up as a secondary team/conflict in episodes. When Applejack and Rarity argue, not only is it less frequent, but their resolutions at the end are more genuine. AJ and Rainbow only had one "genuine" resolution, at the end of Fall Weather Friends, which was spurred by a major lesson in humility and not cheating. At the very least, RariJack would be a relationship that is dysfunctional, but can still be worked with over time, and it wouldn't become abusive. AppleDash, however, would never work unless one of them has some sort of brain surgery or damage.

+00WolfSpirit Rarijack has maturity on both parties parts going for it. It'd be difficult for them and they'd have to learn to compromise even more but if any characters in the cast have the maturity and will to do that it's them. And they are very clearly BFFs by this point, in a way that only Rainbow and Fluttershy can match (though with that one i can't see it romantically working) And we've SEEN Rarity and Applejack start to learn to compromise.

I was never a fan of appledash, Pinkiedash always seamed more interesting to me. Pinkiedash sucks they harm people and their personalities together are reckless. AJ tames the wild side of dash. Twilight helps pinkie calm the hell down. And rarity helps fluttershy not be.... We to put it bluntly a shy push over dumbass. So Yep it's all about helping each other with there biggest issues. It also works viscera. Pinkie helps Twi im race her inner party animal. Rainbow helps applejack be childish at times. And fluttershy....... Well she um does stuff too???

But none of them completely changed. Discord was still chaotic. Starlight was still prone to overreacting and using magic to fix complicated problems. If a character flips on a dime and becomes a different person entirely, that's called BAD WRITING. Fortunately, MLP:FiM is (usually) above bad writing. The ponies change, but in subtle ways. Core aspects of their personality remain constant.

No, it doesn't. An ordinary hint, which can be interpreted in dozens of different ways, does not mean anything other than another hint.

as soon as you mentioned domestic violence, i went straight to envisioning the two of them on an episode of COPS.

Its actually been confirmed by Hasbro themselves, also by the voice actors/actresses too. AppleDash is canon.

Dear RLYoshi,I have to agree with you 100% when it comes to Shipping Applejack And Rainbw Dash in the main Cartoon, it would never work! True, they maybe the best of Friends, have Differences, and are very competive twords one another, but isn't that with all people, don't we display the same things? It's amazing that we failed to realize twice what happened when Lyra and Bon Bon were put together in the show, and lighting did strike the same place twice when Vinyl Scrach and Octavia Melody was put together, somehow things always work out in the end, but we should have leared something from this, and that is, be careful who you ship, cause if you don't and choose to ignore everything around you, great disaster can and will show up when you least expect it to and can destroy everyting around you! Now Shipping them in the Fandom, is awesome! I believe that it would work and/or be very interesting to see how it would work, but that's just me! Take care and thanks for reading this!

+Misty Music Rarijack would have a hard time but they have maturity going for them at least, and I think they'd more easily compromise, Rainbow would have a hard problem with that in any situation. It's why I think FlutterDash is actually the ship most likely to crash and burn. Dash would dominate that relationship to an unhealthy extent. Also here's one great advantage: they actually have a dynamic that's grown and changed.

+thewalrus45 I actually think rarishy would work lol. AppleDash, TwiPie and Rarishy. I don't see opposites working out, they could get along but at the same time they won't. One pony would want to do one thing & the other another thing. Which is kind of complicated I guess. They will possibly have different opinions.

Misty Music Well Fluttershy and Rainbow pretty much come off as best friends like Rarity and Applejack, they are the characters we see hanging out in random episodes all the time. I just don't think It would work romantically cause Rainbow is TOO pushy and tactless and would dominate the relationship. Rarishy has a fairly similar dynamic with Rarity also pushing Fluttershy to get out of her shell but generally she's more respectful of her boundries. So yes it's more likely to work. The problem is it's not exactly the most entertaining dynamic. Which is something people should think about more, this is all fiction. For fun and all that. The ship that I think is actually MOST likely to work would be Twilight and Applejack. It's also the ship that would be the hardest to actually make entertaining to read cause their both so damn rational. That's true of any relationship, you have to learn compromise, broaden your horizons and all that. As for AppleDash vs Rarijack in both relationships they actually both foils to each other but in different ways. I explained why I think Rarijack would actually have an easier time working earlier. Ultimately it comes down to Rarity and Applejack being closer in maturity level. They actually both share an issue with Rainbow and Rarity's ambitions meaning they might have to spend a lot of time away too. Which I doubt Applejack would like.

In the later season things change a bit, they are not that aggresive with each other

Also I know animation is hard so you know if u really want u could just use a picture of ur OC and you can just talk about the pony subject. +Gostkiller155 The show doesn't go into where she lives. However, since she is seen in a house in that episode with a decent-sized and decorated room, that means she isn't an orphan - or, on the slim chance she is, has adoptive parents, and isn't homeless or in an orphanage.

Merrsharr No, they don't. That's a common misconception that TV has instilled in us. Realistically, the closest one can get to being "tsundere" without actually hating the person they supposedly like is harmless playful trolling and prodding. Not, you know, violence and dangerous competitions.

Ok, I think that everything you said was logical, but i also think that it could work, and It probably could last, they are both really competitive and strong, and they usually shake off being hit, especially by each other, really fast. They honestly alway forgive each other either way so they probably would fight a lot but end up forgiving each other eventually. I think it could work and is honestly just waiting to happen.

"Just waiting to happen" is a definite no. I guess it COULD happen, but it would definitely NOT be a fully healthy relationship, even if it wouldn't be downright abusive. But they don't have any feelings for each other.

I agree that they would not last. Also, she has patience with her family and not RD because she's had to put up with her family all her life so she's most likely used to them acting the way they do. RD and AJ could NOT possibly be a couple due to the fact they are very agressive towards one another and will even become violent. That would make the relationship very toxic, like Lapis and Jasper from Steven Universe. Also, it would be highly unstable and dangerous if they have a family together. So this is just another reason for them to NOT be together. Now maybe if it was Twilight and AJ, then I would consider it a possibility but there are some things that counteract that as well.

I know everything gets shipped, but i really cant see anyone pairing the mane six with the main six. If anything there are plenty of other ponies. Rainbow dash with one of the wander bolts, i believe even fluttershy has been been shy over a guy (yeah and everyone else but i can still see it) Also apple dash? I barely think they are friends, they're more like friends through friends. Appledash is a hardworking pony with lots of responsibility and rainbow dash has a job but you barwb barely ever see her actaully doing it and mostly she is off doing something awesome and usually destructive. They are barely friends, have they ever even been in an episode just for them. One that satrted with them wanting to spend time together and not shoehorned by some competition.

The way I see it, I see Applejack as not being particularly interested in any relationships of either gender. RD may have potential, but that would give into the two stereotypes that Lauren Faust is against: "Her tomboyish nature and sporting the "pride colors" makes her a lesbian." But, I've heard of a hint from the creators that there may be a relationship between two of the mane six. Maybe.
