    When I saw you drive around town after the Dyno test I thought you needed higher gearing. I don't think you will lose much at all at the low end. She has so much to give.

    i really liked the short gearing, ideally just needed another gear. but thats not really possible

    thats what prompted me to put the 6 cylinder in it. now you can launch it 3rd gear!

    Very sad. And very happy that you already prepaired for next event. Sorry if I missed it - on which rpm it was happen? It was 100% bolt failure? Thread in conrod wasn't damaged? I've heard about cases when thread in the body of these conrods was broken while tightening them.

    it hard to say exactly what rpm it happened. but i was sitting on the limiter of 7500 for quite some time. 100% bolt failure, snapped clean in half

    @@hawes_power5590 many thanks. Very strange. As I know stock st205 rev limit is 7200 and tune ecus such blitz has increased limiter. And stock hardware is ok up to 8k. Something like this. I'm also building 3sgte with maxspeeding rods )

    @@hawes_power5590 I have only one another idea about it - is it possible that bore to piston clearance was too small and piston got stuck ? There is no signs of wear on block bores?

    Have you considered switching to the 2arfe engine? It already starts out with dual vvti, 2.5l, and is cheap to replace. I don't think anyone has put it in a Celica though.

    I have very much considered the 2ar. Im sure there will be challenges to make fit but i like the idea of it. they wouldnt be cheaper here in NZ considering the beams head and 5s blocks are very cheap. obviously building the motor to handle boost and rpm is the expensive part. ill be sticking with the S series fo the foresable future but i may have a play with a 2AR in another vehicle...

    How much of a difference is there really with the ez30 and if you want a bit more power i would recommend going higher compression

    the ez30 really transformed the car. The FA20 was pretty gutless, but to be fair, it didnt seem in great shape once it was pulled out. have you done a high comp EZ30?
