    Fantastic. I would like to see a type of complete lesson (no too much long). For example with: - warm up - few combos - footwork....

    Russian fan here. Very beautiful! Love Cuban style. 7:03-7:10 My biggest request is how to fight going backward (technique, tactics, etc). Can you shed some light on the topic, please? 7:14-7:16 Can you teach us how to move in crouch like this? 7:38-7:45 You are advancing very fluid and effortlessly. Any special tips or drills for that?

    Great stuff Charles, interesting to see the difference in form the Cuban boxing style brings. I know some of this stuff is more advanced, like I wouldn't try and teach a beginner to cross their legs but you can see from your drills that with balance and discipline it's another level to add to your movement. Keep up the good work and I hope the summertime brings us much more sunny days for you to record more vids!

    @@Charlessalbox Thank you Coach. I completely agree with you. Within 3 months I was coming up with a new training plan taking into account all the shortcomings of the Russian boxing school, I worked a lot. I wanted to add what is missing. I've come up with a lot of different exercises that I haven't seen. And then I found your videos, and I saw 95% of what I did. Do you have any idea how far you've come in terms of boxing, Mr. Charles? I am infinitely grateful to you. You came up with a sniper rifle, and many boxing halls in Russia still shoot arrows

  • @Charlessalbox

    The first order of business is learning how to do the move with perfect precision. Once you do this you need to start using your feet to evade punches from your opponent without the use of your hands. Also do not slip, bob, roll or weave to avoid the attacks; all attacks have to be evaded via footwork. This will give you the best understanding of defensive range. Once this done well you can cimfortably add the shuffle to evade and counter your opponent with ease

    Quick question, when you do the pendulum switch crosses (2:31) why do you punch and step with the opposite foot? Wouldn't you generate more power and get more distance by using the same foot and hand? (For ex. You punch with the left hand but step with the right. I wonder why you dont with the right and step with the right). Just a question to understand why you train a certain movement. Other else than that, excellent video. I love your shadow boxing. Looks so fluid and crisp. Thank you for uploading these vids! I am learning a lot!

  • @Charlessalbox

    @Charlessalbox

    Great question Anthony... in Soviet and Cuban style training there are 3 stances you learn to fight from... Southpaw, Orthodox and Square. This is a Square stance drill. What you are saying is correct but every punch I throw from this stance is a cross. Notice the position that I end up in after both punches is either a left cross or right cross. I train all the things you mentioned just like you would but with training you need to separate yourself from the rest and learn a variety of moves that will confuse your opponent if they do not recognise the pattern of your movement and/or keep up with your move if you deceive them through skillful application.
