@@markhegedus1981 Obviously not every parisian is bad but most of them are really stuck pretentious just bc they live in Paris. I have a parisian friend and she told the same thing so as you said even some parisian think that way. Sarah Hamilfan Well, no. It’s not based on the French concept album, it’s adapted from the French concept album, most of the songs are the same. And the first stage production was in French and in France. So it’s arguably a French musical. But French people don’t really like musicals and don’t really like when their cultural and famous novels are turned into something else, especially this one which tells a part of our history. So they turned their back on a masterpiece of a musical, which thankfully was made even better and acclaimed by the British people.

The book of Les Misérables is studied by every french people in school whereas the musical which is in english, so not understandable for all is not known at all. Moreover, as much as I love it, the musical it is not faithfull to the original story, and usually mess up with history. (like at the begining of the video they mention the revolution of 1789, whereas the story beginns in 1815 and only talks about 1832 riots that failed). That can explain the lack of enthusiasm of people.

He was so sweet about this weird dude in drag!
Watching this, as a french girl, makes me laugh so much. Parisians do not seem very nice but, for sure, he might makes their day a little bit funnier. I hope James and the dancers had a good experience with baguettes and croissants ! You are a genius, James, keep doing ! PS: Les Misérables is not about French Revolution but about June Rebellion in 1832, an other "revolution" less unknown than the one of 1789. But even french people make mistakes about it :)

The best part of this is probably that cars in frace are not holy possesions but really its customary to push other cars with your own to make more parking space. So the guy wasn't really upset about the car pe se, but more about a fat ENGLISH singing guy kneeling on his hood.
So just imagine arriving at work late and having to say: yea, sorry I'm late, there was a musical in the middle of the street, couldn't get past...

It's Paris, you expect people to block traffic. Usually it's a strike of some sort though.
jokes aside,, the fact that they were able to make a “barricade” and bring it to the road is amazing.

Yes. But it’s good, the croissant’s with butter. (I can’t believe it’s not butter.)
I Love how tese guys enjoy the show and are confident enough. It is a great team work, the actors, the scene, the dresses, the scripts, the cameras and microphones, everything is just a piece of art. People don’t realize the amount of work this has, probably months. And besides, they remain still confident and happy besides the fact that people are ignoring them, or angry at them or just grumpy. I think it is a reflection of what Paris is in real life. When I was a child I dreamed about Paris, and when I finally went I experienced more like what we see in this video.
I was in Paris for a school trip and went past here. If we had only driven past a day later I would have got to have seen this as it was filmed while I was on the trip😫
