Love these videos about the Warhorse....In July we did a tour from England to Ireland, I was on my ZZR1400 and I saw a XRV 750 Africa Twin for sale on the first day in Wales on the way through to the ferry, these videos sprang to mind so I bought it and left it at the Air BnB till I could collect it when I got back from Ireland.....just hope my Mrs doesn't meet you, she was fuming 😂

Adam, glad you made it to a clean spot for "open heart surgery' as you say. What an incredible trip mate. This drop really puts the campfire chat into perspective. Trusting the bike, trusting old technology to solve tricky problems quickly and "easily", and using all the horsepower you need and not letting all the horsepower of a present day bike use you! Once again, what an incredible trip and thanks for another great Motology offering. I love seeing 750+ cc bikes with soft luggage!

In my opinion the nearest answer to your question at 16:40 is none other than the Warhorse's descendant - the modern Africa Twin. No impressive power figures. Suspension is not sporty stiff. Maintenance intervals are long and of course, Honda reliability :) That's why it's my dream bike and it's inspired by you and the Warhorse's adventures of course!

I ride her little light sister, the Honda Dominator 650ccm RD02. 32 years old from 1991 and only 168 kg wet ...single piston, twin exhaust....fixed her this summer with a set of brand new headpipes and silencers in high-quality stainless steel, did a engine renovation and gave her a new piston....Uhm! she runs like a dream now...My Thunderwomen! Great to see motorbike riders like you Adam letting a good old African Twin shine again as the bright star she is...thank you for another great video !

Y'all hit the nail on the head with the discussion of ADV marketing. I live in Ohio near Cleveland in the US and must ride about two hours before i can ride a gravel road. Almost everything is paved or gravel in the US or restricted to motor vehicles. As i began traveling more on my old KTM 390 i began to realize that a sport touring bike would be a better fit than an ADV bike for my area. Great videos! I have become a better rider from watching them! Thank you!!!

Love watching the landscape of the outback . Amazing journey for yourself and the warhorse . The Conversation around the camp fire about the marketing of the adventure bikes got me thinking too …. We should all know that they are so much capable of long journeys across the world , more manufacturers are getting the message across that in the right hands these bikes are more capable than what most enduro riders think they can do . We all support the under dogs and to see a mid weight bike amongst the fast enduro bikes holding there own is an amazing sight . Great to see the new and old adv bikes in this episode riding together in tandem . 👏👌

I have one from 1995. RD07. In green. 2nd owner. Bought from my brother back then. And since 2020 I've been driving a new AF Adventure Sports ES DCT. I've always driven Hondas. Never had any problems. The RD07 is a beautiful motorcycle. But has never seen hard terrain. Street and dirt roads. Not more. It would be a shame to drive it off-road with it. Only about 66'/67' kilometers down. With the new one I've already got 12' down. Haven't had any problems yet either. You should take one of these with you on tour. Without switching gears is really good. An old and a new AF. That would be cool. Greetings from Germany👍

I appreciate that in the same day as Pol Tarres releases his latest "doing crazy shit on a T7" video, you put out a video showing not only what the majority of people will do with an ADV bike, but even point out that the companies are showing the bikes in a way that basically nobody will use them. No disrespect to Pol the guy is a legend, and as cool as their videos look, a video like this will do far more to sell me on a bike than The Seeker series will.

You capture that adventure spirit really well. It's a pleasure to watch your channel. And learn to take the good things and the not so good things, like dirty petrol, close gates or flat tyres with an open mind. As you saif about an open mind: You can't plan adventures in advance. Man I love these videos , I think anyone who has had an old Africa Twin can instantly relate to the relationship that grows with them. I absolutely loved mine and have always regretted selling it. I now have a Tenere 700 and in modern terms I feel it’s the closest thing to the old Twin

Same here. Why I ever sold mine is still a mystery to me.

What you guys are doing out there, there are only few people can do. I could not make it 2 miles into a wilderness out there. You are leaving a dream only few of us could. Thank you for sharing this and inspiring others.

@16:00 guilty as charged. I bought a T7 last year mainly because of Pol Tarres and his "The Seeker" series. With little to no offroad skills I was thinking that I could conquer the great forest "outback" of eastern Europe with a 200kg adventure bike and the skills of a first grader riding a mountain bike down a mildly steep hill. Lo and behold I ate more dirt, mud and tree branches over the 13k km I put on that bike than a porcupine in heat. I'm quite amazed I did not break anything or got seriously injured. Sold it about a month ago, bought a second hand CRF300L and the difference, for a novice like me, is night and day. I'm more confident, better at tackling steeper terrain and overall a much better rider on a low powered and lighter dual sport than on a fully kitted out adventure bike. Should've listened to people who told me that starting my off road adventures with a T7 is a bad idea... I guess you live and learn, and most importantly, listen to others that already made the same mistakes you're going to make.

Being a South Aussie, I make an effort to get up to the flinders every year and never experience the same thing twice. Such a diverse and beautiful area. You really did the area justice through your great storytelling.

That was amazing! So much family scenery through the flinders but from a different perspective. It was nice to see Dave from Angorichina Village in the background it’s been many years since I used to travel through there every month for work! Amazing content as always Adam! Thank you for sharing your adventure with us.
