Australian Adventure Ride - Flinders Ranges - Part 1

Last year I did an 8 day solo ride to the Flinders to capture the beauty of riding in this magical place. In 2023 I returned with 2 mates to try to capture the FEELING of Adventure riding in the Flinders Ranges.

Looks like you guys experienced the latter when you rolled up to Razorback lookout. Loved this episode 👏 haha - Mate an FPV drone using BetaFlight in ACRO mode requires you to be an actual 'skilled RC Pilot' (as opposed to DJI where you are an 'operator' at best - there is no such thing as a dji pilot because their flight system is akin to an autopilot). 😆 Brent - Well done for opting out - good call - most FPV noobs/guys have to do 25~50 hrs of sim time - then a dozen or more batteries at a sports field - then maybe think about tracking a slow moving bike or a car subject.

  • @brentbat

    @brentbat

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey Tom Thx for your comments. Regarding the Aurora kit, I only have the tanks, not the tower. I love everything about the tanks EXCEPT for one thing... the bash plate. It's made of Carbon Fibre and looks like a work of art when it is new, but one run through the rocky Flinders did a real number on it. I'm having chats with Aurora and they are replacing it free of charge which is great, and there is discussions about having alternate bash plates to Carbon. Either aluminium or the high tech plastic (which would be my preference). But I looked at all the fuel options for the 701 and chose Aurora for a bunch of reasons. it is crazy expensive, but in my opinion it is the best if you can afford it. I love having the second fuel pump for redundancy, the fuel is carried down low, so even when the bike is full of fuel I don't notice any handling issues. The range is fantastic now.
