I hate how in his streams, so many people just want to ask about Chester. In interviews and fan meet and greets, it's all about Chester. As someone who has lost a friend to suicide, I understand how much it hurts just to hear their name. Let him live his life, guys. Chester is fantastic, and will never truly die, but Mike has a life of his own. Let him live it without a constant reminder of his best friend

I think I respect Mike more than anyone in the music industry. When he was in Linkin Park he wrote most the lyrics with Chester, rapped,sang, played guitar, and produced. Now after Chester's death, he continues to do the same. He turned something tragic, into a positive with his music. If my best friend committed suicide I would give up. But Mike kept going. But he also is honest. Yes some of his songs have positive messages like Crossing a Line and Cant Hear You Now but in Over Again, Hold it Together and Place to Start he let's his emotions take over. He just writes about how he feels. He also seems like an extremely humble guy Uve gotta respect this guy.

Exactly. I remember how angry I was at people claiming LP sold out with One More Light when they have been releasing their albums on their youtube channel for all to watch, listen to and download for free for years. If they were ever only about the money, they'd never have done that. They want their music to get out there and be heard because they know how many of us feel their lyrics. Every album has had a different sound because they are artists and artists care first and foremost about reaching people.

I was so heartbroken because I never saw Linkin Park live and it felt like my life is not gonna be the same. And it's not the same. But, Mike, you not taking it away. You're coping with the loss. And you help us to cope with it. I hope you realize how much you do for us by making new music. I wouldn't be that strong if you weren't that strong. So thank you, Mike. Thank you for crossing a line

I miss him so much ... 😭. As much energy as it came from and a force that always kicked me in not giving up, and when I thought I would give up something in my life. And often it was life. so his voice always kept me on this side and encouraged me to go through it. And when was your last concert in Prague. This was supposed to be my first LP in my life that I wanted. Because I also didn't have such an easy childhood. so it didn't work out. And then what no one expected happened. after every song I have a chill running down my back. more and more because I am more and more deeply aware of what all the albums actually were. and that's what brings people together. similar problems.. And Love. 😞😞😞🖤❤🖤🙌🤘😞

Heard this song on the radio. Loved it instantly. Didn't know the artist. But looked it up and found out it is Mike Shinoda. The same Mike Shinoda from my all-time favorite band, LP. That explains everything. Shinoda, a creative genius, an all-time legend.

I never wanted to let go of any of them...but i want to move on from the sadness and bad energy and my father...i try but the more steps i take im held back some how! If someone asks who Mike shinoda is this is the perfect song to show them. His whole vibe in music and his whole demeanor is on display. His joy in singing his joy in the fans his pure love for what Linkin Park was and the power of music. The man Chester loved and Linkin Park thrived on

Mike, This is what LP has always been about. Again, you all have created something different, something not anyone could see coming. It was fresh it was what LP does that is create. Great work Mike, and all of you. Looking back from the start through Good times and Tragic times LP has worked extremely hard and again defined creativity. Truly Music in motion forward. Thank you Gentlemen. Long live LP .

I have finally cross the line. 5 years ago I lost the love of my life. A couple of years into that we lost Chester. At the time, I was only trying to take my first step to moving forward. Technically, I laid in bed for 3 years crying my heart out; trying to get out depression and anxiety. You never get over what happens when you lose someone but you keep crossing lines and you find yourself moving not on but forward. Thank you, Mike, for this song. Today I am better because I have done more than I thought I could without my best friend. RIP to those we love and have loss.

Chester's death felt like a cosmic mistake. It felt wrong. But everything you've done in response to it feels right. Creating to deal with the pain, the emotion, putting out new music and just the sound of it it, the tone, the words. It's right.

Mike McDonald All death is tragic and cruel. Yes, even when the worst people die because even they were at least born innocent. But none of it is a mistake. At least I don't think so. Everyone else may believe in a world where life and death are the product of chance. But I don't. I believe in a God who is sovereign, just and merciful.

mrsticky005 not ALL death is tragic or cruel. I learned this working for hospice 7+ years. Sometimes an elderly person is ready to go, and it's beautiful when they do. Sometimes someone who has an incurable illness for a long time is ready to die, and it's beautiful when you know they're no longer in any pain or discomfort. It can be very sad. It can be unfortunate. There will always be the "what if" feelings. Sometimes it just depends on the circumstances. I also remember many years ago watching my dog, with esophageal cancer, walk up to the veterinarian -almost like he knew they held the key to end his pain- and he laid down by his feet and closed his eyes. He didn't act scared when the needle was in clear sight, he just laid there ready to take his last breath. He went peacefully and that brought comfort to the people who loved him.

I respect Mike for moving on with his musical talent. It makes me feel like there still a part of LP that we’ll never lose.

the first time i listened to this album i bawled my eyes out -- especially at the voice notes from his friends --, and this song still got me good to this day. because where /is/ the line, really? it's different for everyone. i'm glad he managed to cross the one he seemed to face, that other people might've even put down in front of him. i can't imagine how hard that must've been, i dont know how mike managed to do this. i'm more than impressed by him and his strength to keep going and make music still. he's an amazing artist.

If you haven’t already, GO BUY THIS ALBUM. Ever since Chester passed, I’ve felt empty and broken inside. When I listened to this album, it gave me closure and a sense of security. I love it, and I’m cheering for you Mike. Thank you.

I love the entire album of post traumatic and I know I will be loving your new songs in future be it as a solo or in the band . Do not be afraid to take whichever direction suits best for you , go create the style of music which you love . Even if there’s people out there who don’t understand or accept it , you’ll gain new ones or people who appreciates for sure . Sometimes the new journey can be a start of a great beginning . It can’t really go wrong especially when I’m truly amazed by your talents and your capabilities to turn around impossibilities to possibilities. Just keep doing what u love . You are a great person with the kindest personality I’ve ever seen . Being honest , humble , thoughtful and wise in your words . I’ve learnt so much about hearing you in your many interviews . I’m becoming your new fan despite being an LP fan for a while now . Great job ! Keep it going Mike . Thank you for creating good stuff - these songs really resonates in me , as there’s parts where I can relate to indirectly with my personal situation not just about coping with loss of Chester for this album or whatever it may be .
