Yep, just wondering about that myself. certainly would have made a "real test". Maybe a little more than PG rated. lol.

I know you wan't that axe to be better than other "old version" axes but it's not. try the small "old axe" with wooden handle if you got one. you will find oit it's much easier and better (not same ) . because the old ones have the weight . and that is what makes it easy to chop.

They ARE & were Multi-purpose. Felling small trees, tree limbs, and fighting.

Since this is a self defense weapon, it is not going to cut wood that well.

I would not say that, I respect your opinion, but due to its light weighted ness it won't chop like a estwing yet it will way a lot less.
