This is the future of tactical tomahawks, folks. I got mine a few weeks ago and it is INSANE how well designed this is. It is easily on par with tomahawks 2, 3, and even 4 times its cost. To anyone who has been around tomahawks and tactical blade weapons, the kangee is evolution maximized to the point it is going to put at least a few custom tomahawk manufacturers out of business. Like the reviewer said, SK5 steel is the equivalent of 1080-1085 american steel. This gives it a 54-55 HRC on the cutting edges, which for a mere $100 is INSANE. I get that 1080-85 steel is not the absolute best, but the hawk is only $100 not $400-$600! And, the design is near flawless with few exceptions. This is one of RMJ's better designs in my opinion. It is the perfect woods companion and is amazing at E&E and self defense too. The glass filled nylon grip and the ergonomics on this things scream quality. It is mind-blowing it is only $100. You will easily spend 2-4 times the amount of money before you find another hawk this good. Unless you are being deployed, there is zero reason to even consider buying a different tomahawk. Even if I was being deployed, I would still highly consider the kangee if only for the fact that it is a mere $100. Compare that to the RMJ Jenny Wren I purchased ($465) or the omnivore 3b ($550). Just insane the amount of value and utility in this hawk.
Have had this tomahawk awhile now. Love it! It's definitely a part of my GHB and BOB kits! Being able to have a piece of gear you can use as a tool and weapon at the same time is excellent...especially for SHTF scenarios! Awesome review, Sootch!

***** HA! Nice. :)
This is a vicious little hawk. I keep one in my EDC bag
Can I just tell you that I really appropriate all of your advice, great tutorials, and philosophy.
Excellent review. Been looking at Cold Steel and others myself but as ever your reviews are knowledgeable, interesting and above all offer a balanced unsponsored review: good, bad or indifferent...but always honest and to the point. Many thanks.
Man I am so glad I discovered your page, my wife isn’t though LOL!!!! If I’m wanting to but something you are one of the main reviewers out there I’ll watch before I decide on the purchase. When my wife here’s your voice coming from my phone she says “oh hell what are you buying now, gun, knife, gun and knife, suppressor, all the above?????” You blames me for pending money, well you and a few others online, but you’re in the top two!!!!! Thanks a million for you honest reviews and God bless you and yours and God bless America my friend!!!!
LOVE this review-you sold me this hawk, sir, you really knocked it out of the park! Thank you very much, have a feeling CRKT loves you.
Finally, a decent review with a throwing test. I have been looking for a while for a throwing vid.
poor tree :( another great video sootch00 God Bless
That's that best looking tomahawk that I've seen yet! Thank you Sir!
Nice! the Kangee T-hawk looks extremely durable and versatile! I have several CRKT knives, they are top quality.
Ram even the top is sharp and will stick when throw holy crap alright I'm sold CRKT
Officially added to my "must purchase" list!!!
Sootch...I'm a fan. Keep up the great work brother. Thank you.
Damn Sootch that's nice! Iv'e had that on my want list for a while now. I'm moving up to the top of the list. Thanks for the review my friend.
don't be phased by such viewers one bit, Sootch; I'm really impressed by your reviews, and, you have definitely earned my sub; thanks for the EXCELLENT reviews!
Awesome video! Thanks!
It looks like a good all around kick butt axe, with some pretty good features and accessories. Great video. Thanks for the info.
Thank you so much for this great video!
Great review good sir! I loved seeing the weapon...err...tool in action. I also appreciated the detailed discussion you did of the various design details of the T-Hawk; talking about what they could be used for etc, the history you discussed, and your sense of humor. Thanks to your review, I just pushed the buy button on an orange-handled one at White Moutain Knives-last one as it's discontinued. Out the door price was $67.50. Cheers from Oregon! ---Brian
This is a very good review. Thank You!
That's an outstanding rescue tool !

I've got this Hawk and I found this review to be spot on. I've not found a downside to it. It's a Hawk... it does Hawkish things very well and is totally unsuited to anything else. It's its role as a hawk, it performs perfectly. When I was a Retailer 9+ years, we had a bunch of Hawks and Hatchets. I bought this one.
Good video thanks, I really like the Kangee T-Hawk going to have to look into a purchase!
Great review! CRKT makes some great gear, I have been carrying the M16 everyday for the past year and abused it pretty good but you would never know it. Great gear is worth the money.
I love the fact that the steel in the head is unified inside the handle too.

What’s that mean?
This was a really nice video. Going to get me one of these in the future. Thanks Sootch!
I just got mine today, too cool!
That 'hawk' is wicked!!!! Just when I thought I had a nice tomahawk from Cold Steel. You keep showing stuff like this, you're going to put me in debt, lol. Thx for sharing, sootch00.
Thanks for helping me add another tool to my wish list and in answer to your closing words, well said, Sir and Amen!!! :)
Thanks for the VID have to get one for my camping trip

I got one of these and love it!!!
once again great video -
Well I love the fact that trees make seeds :)
Great vid Sootch...
i love this tomahawk
That looks awesome. Love the videos. Looks like a good hawk.
Lol, I never cease to be amazed by some peoples comments. Cool review brother, I'll have to get one of these, btw great tunes too.
Badass review dude! And nice throwing!
sootch you always have great music in your videos! :D
Well played sootch....well played.
You can also remove the screws and the inside is skeletonized so that it can be lashed effectively, it to have a para cord handle
I had already watched this review once and I was debating today on buying this or another piece of gear and after watching this a second time I'm sold. hopefully i'll have the kangee in my hands this weekend
Great post Sir! I’m getting mine next weekend. 👍🏼
Aha, aha, i like it! Excelent tool and excelent weapon. I like this modern tomahawk.
Great review. Long Live the Republic!
That is one sharp little toy! Looks like good fun haha
Froglube is AWESOME! Plus it smells good too. Great review!
Great video! Gotta get one now!
Great review sootch!

Great video
Definately want one
another awesome review
I recycle and reuse, refurbish and donate rather than waste and pollute. I understand all sides. I am cool with him chopping a couple of trees when there are other guys who have done so much more in their backyards. Cool video Sootch, you throw like Hawkeye. Nice hawk, I'd buy one if I had the money. I can get by with cheaper, but that thing is a beast.
I really like tomahawks, especially because of qualities as an lightweight entry tool and weapon. This one looks like to me a almost perfect tomahawk.
I was wondering about the rating, thanks for answering my question without my having to search for it.
One thing I love about trees is that they are made of wood! :)
I'll have to look into getting one.
Great vid and it is a great tomahawk
Just GREAT! Now I have another must have tomahawk to go buy... :)
Neighbors come out next morning, "who cut down all the trees?" great channel thanks for your work!
And some good pump up your heart rate music. Acdc.
Nice review! I need one!
daggone you sootch. now i gotta get one of these. your review of the leatherwood cmr scope was the tipping point that made me buy one and i haven't regretted it one bit. so i guess i will take your recommendation and buy one of these tomahawks.
Nice review!!
Good review!! I want one...like to see the blunt tip version....
You got a good arm there Sootch
Sick tomahawk nice review
Ive had nothing but good things from CRKT. Another product from them to add the the collection.
CRKT 2720 Johnson Chogan T-Hawk is a varient of Kangee and is designed without the rear pick which allows it to be hammered. It is also $35 less expensive on Amazon
I cried when you starting slamming metal...ouch... would never do that to mine... hope you got the test version for free. Of course I would not hesitate when needed:-) I love mine. Great vid:-)
Wish I could get on! Quoting the movie the patriot . Good review
So sootch when you goin to review the gransford bruks scandinavian forest axe? Not exactly tactical but you could lop off a arm head or leg with it. Or build a tactical log cabin. Cmon sootch medium size two handed axe makes woods survival a piece of cake. Review it you wont regret it
Thats one bad ass tamahawk
Must have one !!
Nice, Johnny Appleseed would have wanted one of those.
In WW I there was a lot cqf in the trenches. When the going got tough, the German soldier didn´t use their knifes, they used their collapsible spade and where going on the head / neck.
seems like yesterday when you posted this. didn't have a job then... maby that's why i don't have one yet...
God vid love that hawk sir !
A guy on a forum just posted a pic of his that broke at the handle after throwing it a few times, on the 30th throw I guess. CRKT won't replace it.
Nice t-hawk, don't need it but I want one.
Another great video sootch00. Love the t-hawk, but since I'm on a budget, ill be getting the s&w extractor. $60 vs $140
Yeah I think that would make a good garden tool or something to carry while your out camping or humping it out in the woods and trails.
That is a sweet axe brother! I am going to have to look at one of those right after I get my Tops BOB.
I am a big fan of Tomahawk and Hatchets. I have added a few to my collection. All my hatchets are beat up a little from use.
You keep making me want to spend money Sootch! I bought a Benchmade knife because of your review and now I guess I need to find a way to make this more feasible to the fiance'! Thanks for the vids Sootch, keep up the good work!!
I have several different brands and they've all been pretty good
good man ur my fav youtuber
this is a potential armour piecing tool as well. you can get up under body armour with this pretty easily
Nice review. Pushed me off the fence and I pulled the trigger on an order. Not sure it will replace my Wetterlings, but then again, I don't consider a t-hawk as having quite the same use case a small forest axe. Should make a handy, versatile tool for the trunk or BOB ...
If it had G10 scales I’d have one in every bag, car, truck, boat and camper!
Got to have one of those... :)
Damn wasn't even looking into getting an axe now I guess I have to grab one of these thanks
Hey Sootch great video. But off the subject are you still useing froglube and if you are how is it working for. Also if you can, can you make a follow up video on it just an idea. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.
Hey Sootch, just want you to know I'm a big fan of your work. Awesome! reviews always. Love the fact you explains all details. But I must be honest. Could we please watch a review on Marlin firearms?? Of course the original ones before they became Marlingtons LOL. Thanks for everything Sootch and May God bless :)
