"Toxic positivity" is a thing. Life is about learning and growing and that requires you to go through the pain; of criticism and being open to feedback. Yeah I mean.. It doesn't change the fact that every human being deserves unconditional love. But criticism doesn't exclude love, it's rather a form of love; when criticizing (tactfully) your goal is not to hurt a person but to make them see their mistakes, so they can do better. And how can the wish for somebody to do better and learn more not be kind of compassion and love?

I had friends who got very sick following her fullyraw diet in college. She wrote on her website back in the day that no supplements are needed and cooked food causes an autoimmune response in the body...lots of ex vegans cuz of Kristina

I’m an English lit major with a specialization in oversleeping, panic attacks, and replacing my will to live with coffee.

I've always felt weird about the amount of fresh cut flowers she displays. Like sure, we eat plants because it's better than eating animals, but cutting big exotic (expensive in resources to grow for the plant/soil) flowers to display for 2 days because they're pretty?

Christina is complaining very similar to how James Charles was saying he wanted to get rid of all drama channels. I find it really annoying that people like them cannot handle when people criticize their videos or actions. If this was a random person in public then yes it would be very unethical but CHOSING to post yourself in social media and benefiting from that makes you susceptible to other people's opinions. And like you said you never comments on petty unimportant things like her appearance, you were just showing example of how dangerous her diet and attitudes can be to other people. I think getting that upset showcases that maybe she knows some of her actions are questionable

Me too OP! I am never going to go fully vegan (too expensive in a near-arctic country, also medical reasons) but i love seeing a rational, smart and empathetic vegan! She makes me motivated to think about my choices more :)

For the cough thing. I know for me it gets worse at night because im laying down and mucous builds up. I pretty much have to sit up with a bunch a pillows behind me. Also idk maybe the change is humidity and atmosphere from day to night is different??? Growing up, the only way my mom got me to stop coughing was to put me in the car, and roll the windows down while driving The human body is weird.

if my eyes just randomly changed color, I would be talking to my doctor/eye doctor about this because I would be really worried- I know some diseases involve eye changes like jaundice and I would want to see if something was wrong

SHE has the audacity to say ”so much for the compassionate vegan community!” Yeeaaaahhh, the mirror is a harsh critic!

Off topic comment: a local hot dog and burger fast food chain in my country (Chile) recently started offering vegan burgers with Not Mayo and Beyond Burger. It's expensive, but it's a breakthrough. What did some vegans say about it? The Beyond Burger tasted so much like meat that now they're afraid to eat it because that would mean "they're really carnivores". WTF?!

Kat the controversy with Impossible is that they tested their products on animals. While they’re a plant based company, they don’t market towards vegans, but rather omnis & carnivores. They’re products are gmo! It’s not the weird uppity vegans, it’s hypocrisy. How can you claim to be plant based or vegan and test on animals 🤔🤔🤔

Then Kristiana naturally defends herself and it's back to Unnatural Vegan making another video to get views and get you to gang up on her again. Of course, even when Kristina responding, Unnatural Vegan keeps making videos nonetheless till Kritisna cracks again and feels the need to defend herself... On and on it goes. Unnatural Vegan does it to get views and make money.

@@northstarastrology3954 she made a video about how we need not supplement b12 as out gut will be making the same on its own. I didn't supplement it listening to her. I had grave levels of b12 upon testing. I had extreme hairfall and grey hair due to that plus I wasn't In a mentally healthy place way before I went vegan but I feel lack of b12 made it worse.

It is technically still vegan, it's just either stupid or dangerous. There should be a word for it, so that us vegans can better address diets that are like that, but not worry about shooting ourselves in the foot, so to speak.

Sigh. I like Kristina. She lives on a different plane than the rest of us so I don’t think she is intentionally misleading, I just think she’s delusional. She drinks her own koolaid without realizing that it’s poisonous to others. I check in on her, like once a year and there’s always a controversy. The eye color change, the “retreats”, how unhealthy the raw vegan diet is....she’s never responded well. I don’t think she’s going to change but I also don’t think she has a bad heart. I hope that makes sense.

Her response to the criticism that her diet was too expensive was incredibly out of touch with reality as well. Instead of admitting that her diet is expensive and not realistic for the majority of people, she goes on a rant about how hard she’s worked and how she made her career happen singlehandedly. She boasts about never taking her parent’s money and starting her own businesses, which is awesome and I admire her for it, but she also completely ignored the fact that she was born into privilege. That she was given a lot of opportunities than not many people have. She implied that not being able to afford her diet, is a result of not working hard enough. That was cringe.

Whoa! I majored in Management with a specialization in sitting-on-my-ass-binge-watching-How-I-met-Your-Mother, and I didn't even know! Thanks, Kristina!

You have never been "mean" to her. In fact, and maybe I'm remembering this incorrectly, but I remember you making a video in her defense when several videos came out calling her fat (years ago). I'm too lazy to look this up, but I swear you did. Even if you didn't, you never have EVER engaged in or talked about anyone's appearance or body or anything superficial. That's why she should have named names. It wasn't fair for her to lump you in with people like that.

She doesn't seem very genuine either. I used to like her but after seeing her push juice fasts and constantly try and sell things, I'm no longer interested. She needs to be mature and accept that some ppl may not like her. And that's 100% okay 😁

I'm not a vegan, or even a healthy eater, but I've stumbled upon your videos and I love what you stand for. You have respect and dignity, girl. Someone has to stand up. Keep it up, we love it!

Half of what bugs me about Kristina is her completely mechanical gesticulation. It’s like she is only now learning to be a human and integrating into society. It makes it hard to relate to her. Just when I feel like I might be kind of receptive to hearing her explain herself; she just grow-a-gals herself right out of relatability.

i don’t wanna “pick on her” but the way she constantly smiles when she’s talking about something troubling to her is more than a little creepy lmao

Kinda reminds me when Onision was butt hurt over some 19 yr old who studys....literature I think? (something related to writing) for criticizing his book and got defensive about it. She even said people offered to help him but he refused. But yeah at least Christina is nicer and not cold as he is.

Vegans have access to this channel. Many just won't subscribe or unsubscribe because she makes objectionable decisions just to make a point. Like the using the death of a woman to disprove alternative cancer treatment. She refused to take the video down even though the grieving family asked her too. Unnatural Vegan could chose to do an anti alternative medicine video without the name of a dead woman. (For the record - I don't even necessarily believe in alternative medicine)

Purposefully blurring specific so if there is reasoned backlash she can claim she was never talking about that. Dogwhistling her fans to go after someone as a way to deflect criticism of her onto someone else with a name or face so the conversation becomes about drama rather than issues. Using the worst behaviors of people who bully her for real to smear people who just criticise her, because the former are never going to come around anyway but stan mobs can destroy rational critical people.

Please just keep being exactly who you are! Being Vegan doesn't mean that you should pander to her bad habits! Good grief. And frankly, instead of LEARNING something from your well rounded and educated videos , she keeps putting information out there that can and HAS hurt people. When you have such a public platform you will be called out when you put terrible information into the world. Young kids watch you, Mothers with babies that could DIE from a poor diet that YOU PUSH ON OTHERS. So maybe instead of worrying about the videos, change your bad habits!!!!

It's strange to me that she doesn't understand the difference between criticism and bullying. Didn't she go to university? One of the main skills you learn at university is how to accept criticism.

She has an odd ring situation going on.

Kristina's video sounds exactly like Alyse Parker's (Raw Alignment) recent content: any form of criticism is portrayed as bullying because suddenly people started questioning what they promote instead of blindly following their channels. People who built a profitable business through KZread now complain that viewers have expectations about the quality of the product they produce...

I sent an email to Kristina 3 years ago because I was concerned about a friend who followed her content and her diet religiously and got really skinny and sick ... never got a reply.

Tbh what you take down artfully in this video can easily be transfered to other situations. Kristina is engaging in typical manipulative behaviour that also happens in abusive relationships. Being able to recognize these types of behaviour is so important to protect yourself from harm. Thank you for how you adressed the situation and for staying level-headed! What a great example.

Actually, fun fact- your steroid levels go down at the end of the day, making it so you can sleep, but also allowing your lungs and airways to become inflamed. That’s why when you have bronchitis, doctors will usually give you a steroid pill or steroid cough syrup to take at night. So yeah, that might be a reason that your cough manifests at night 😀

She's a businesswoman. I don't believe her intentions are good.. shes just a savvy marketer. Many ppl that met her in person said she's nothing like what she portrays to be on camera. Her yelp page of her co OP had many baD reviews of ppl saying how she shocked they were about how mean and rude she was in person. Other youtubers made videos of how disappointed they were when they met her in person...like Nikocado avocado... said she was throwing a tantrum and flushed a spider down the toilet. She's fake and this whole good girl loving raw vegan thing is just good branding

I love your videos, and I was so excited to see the notification as I sat down for lunch! Great points, I really think a lot of public figures need to learn to take criticism seriously, rather than personally. Also, on a slightly sillier note: "At least silicone is perky" OMG, huge mood.

I’m all spiritual and i understand constructive criticism! The reason I step away the spiritual community it’s because you can’t have a constructive critique without people calling you “negative” or non “compassive” I find this passive aggressive tactics where you can’t have a constructive analysis it’s a way of repression. I find Kristine a bit of a passive aggressive and narcissistic like that she comes out with I’m a being of light being attacked... also she talks like se is enlightened talking to us mere mortals in a real condescending way. I'm a nutrition major with a specialisation in making terrible life choices 🙃

I was one of Christina's "victims", her diet made me sick, and she never responded with responsibility or care. She's so delusional and naively thinks what works for her applies on everybody! She changes her mind about many "principles" yet still promote them (ie. Rawfood has sufficient protein, and yet now she drinks and promotes protein powder). She's just an adult teenager that wants love and attention on any cost.

I'm so sorry about what you went through. I had female friends that followed her fullyraw 80/10/10 diet and got VERY sick. When I told her this in the comments she said she's not hurting anyone, that she's helping ppl, and that I have no evidence for my claims. She then blocked me. It upsets me so much and it saddens me to see comments on her videos from fans saying that she's influencing them to start trying a raw diet

I love that you don’t personally attack people, but talk things through very sensibly. It’s very refreshing.

I found Kristina's video to be very passive aggressive and kind of using the "poor victim" card. Ialso don't like that people toss around the term bullying so frequently anytime someone disagrees with them. There are people actually being bullied out there. Not liking someone or disagreeing with them is not bullying. It's just a part of life that people won't always like everyone and may argue and criticize. $600 a month for groceries?? That is crazy and seems out of touch with reality for so many of us.

Kristina seems to be taking a page from Trump’s book 🤔 criticism = propaganda.

Thank you for addressing Kristina's video about rumour-monging. It is fairly obvious to whom she was referring even if she did not refer to you, by name. Kristina is quite a sensitive gal, no doubt. I have told Raw-K. in an email that any Uploader here to YT should expect to have their content addressed, and quite possibly criticised, as well. Unfortunately, that is the nature of the beast. People will comment upon what others post. It happens all of the time online, as you well know, and is rather par for the course.
