    If you need ignition cables. Think about the MSD custom fit set for the 60's Chrysler HEMI. They have a real long reach on them. (MSD Ignition #31523)

    Good episode, great to see an update on the cresta, but I was so confused seeing the thumbnail of the cresta reversed. I stared at it trying to figure out why the opposite headlight got removed

    My GN did this. Ended up being an internal fault in a spark plug. No cracks visible.

    MmeDesgranges trying to avoid cdi as it’s more wiring and a box. Dale’s 6 second commodore runs IGN1A’s so I think we’ll be fine if we do go down that route

    @@BennysCustomWorks we ran the M&W in the stagea, We were having interference in the ignition, Think we worked it out to be the Ross crank trigger wasn't liking the msd.. At EFI Performance we were trying lots off things to fix it.. Ended up going the M&W cdi setup.. M&W sent us a drag box not realizing we drove it on the street.. So we sent it back and they modified so off boost it ran like the street version then jumped over to the drag mj's on boost.. Our interference problems disappeared after that.. Not saying yours has a similar problem as obviously yours is only effecting the 1 cylinder.. Hope ya sought it soon Benny..

    Hi did you check injector spray pattern that it is spraying correctly (atomizing the fuel ) and not making streams when quantity and pressure is required ? did you swap your injectors one and two around to see if your misfire moves ? it can either get more fuel or less fuel on that specific cylinder charge thus over richen or under leaning the air mixture on that specific cylinder.

    MrJaiimez we’d be at Haltech for sure if there was a hub dyno. We have used their chassis dyno many times also :)

    Would R8 coils be an option? In Europe they are a pretty common upgrade in high hp builds

    How do you ground those coils on your car? I’ve seen issues on LS motors with coils that aren’t grounded correctly. I’m putting square LS coils for my big block 540 and I’m just looking for a good solution for my car

    Not sure if they are smart or dumb coils but could there be an issue with the ecu? Burning out a transistor in the ecu that controls the individual coil could cause this type of issue.

    The factory coils were the cheapest junk the guys could find on Alibaba lol. I think they only produced 20mJ of spark energy off the top of my head. A LS3 coil outputs 110mJ for comparison. Even the I6T Sprint in development had some spark break up issues.

    Donn29 no we don’t log coolant pressure currently, compression is spot on , the miss only started after I touched the coils .

    Did u swap the coil to another cylinder and see if it follows? i would have also done the plug to a different cylinder again as a 2nd test.

    Every connector is potential for resistance. Maybe re-do the wiring; and go in HEAVY. Future proof it. Over - rate the wiring for coils, injectors, ignition loads. The ignition switch is old, too. Run power relays for all those jobs. Take the loads away from all the old stuff that's necessary.

    David 32gtr the max flow capabilities are just the internal sized ports and the inlet/ outlets. So not really.

    Kiwi Boosted Garage because the piston isn’t a puddle in the sump :D if it waa a fuelling issue 1 or 2 runs would melt it big time.

    You're doing it all wrong, go to supercheap and strap a gt40 ignition coil, new leads and rotor button to it. On a completely different note, have you indexed the plugs? These engines respond to indexing as well as exposing the electrode, .35 is tight as a nunns nasty. Even the single cam loves some plug playing.

    Find someone who can use an oscilloscope Benny and they will track down the root cause of the misfire very quickly

    Dyno scene and you both are struggling to hear each other with your cans on. Look into firearm earmuffs that lessen discharge noises but a microphone passes low volume noises through like talking, through.
