CRESTA- Drag Challenge (Part 1)

Drag Challenge is held in similar fashion to 'Drag Week' in the USA- it requires participants to race at the allocated tracks as well as drive from drag strip to drag strip in the same car that they race.
Racers will hand in their best time slip of the day before getting on the road to their next destination, stopping at designated checkpoints along the way.
No support vehicles are allowed, so racers will have to bring their own support crew, tools & equipment with them for the 1500km+ journey.

@@MarcSola7 thats why I love watching both of their channels. Proper builds, blokes having a laugh, no fancy video production, just no BS. I just hope Nugget Garage starts to put out more content more regularly.

You can tell by the E85 prices! $1.56 AUD/L ($4.05 USD/gal), whereas Virginia E85 price is $1.85USD/gal ($0.713 AUD/L)

Nah man out here it's 4x60kmh or 4x100kmh (depends if your in town or not) This is Drag Weekend so it's only 3 days. There is a longer event that was on earlier this year that went for 5 race days. Look up Street Machine Drag Challenge.

Its nice to see you guys doing this with cresta. My dad had an cressida for ages. i believe its same thing. its special here in finland because there were only 77 cressidas sold in here. Most of them went to taxis. And most of them were fitted with 2.4 4cyl turbo diesel.

Nah, we're fairly good out here at the moment. The first checkpoint was out at Somerset Dam, it rains there all the time. It's even raining there (and here 20 minutes away in Toogoolawah) today.

Just random, but I hear rainx works really weirdly when its only kinda raining makes it harder to see somehow. we dont have rain so I cant test that to say for sure

Rain-x behaves weirdly when you get full on rain. Waxing does work, but it kinda hazes things if you don't know how to put it on. Best thing i found so far was water repellent spray. But the problem with that it's usually for clothes and such, not meant for hard surfaces like a windshield. If you wipe it, you'll lose it. Can't recommend any brand, been playing with a few for a while now, they do about the same.

RainX makes wipers useless, just smears. It's only good if you don't use wipers which is horrible. Have good wipers fitted, and ensure your glass is de-greased and clear and you'll be perfect.

Good Window cleaner works well, I use meguars it works great, stops em fogging up too much and clears quickly with the dimister ,works on both inside and outside of the windows 👍

How are you doing drag challange with the cresta in AU just a week ago but your in America right bow with the cresta ? Im so confused. Was AU drag week a while ago ?
Benny was this your first run at Willowbank? If so how did you feel when you crossed the line and went downhill? Because WSID has an uphill braking area. I remember my first time in my stock VN SS and it still felt like you'd fallen off a cliff just after the line.
