I'm fishing the Roanoke river in Eastern NC and for the last month or so, the rivers been out of the banks. Before it got so high, I was on a solid bite of 13-16" speckles. I'm waiting for it to go down so I can get back to em. I love crappie fishing this time of year. Once you find 1, it's game on!!!

Great video, for Texas that’s super cold. When I’m ice fishing the worst is putting minnows on. I use the mitten/fingerless combo gloves. Hand warmers stuffed in help also.

I went out Sunday had a hard time finding water, went to over 5 spots lol everything was locked under ice.. I found on small spot on a creek and had the same frozen line fun! Just getting out was a real blessing.. Stay blessed and stay safe; great video!

Oh Ma "GAUD"!!!!! I've been waiting on "YOU", to do a Winter Crappie from the "BANK'S"! IM 60 , and I got fishing fever "year's" ago. Watching Van Dan, Z Man, Bill Dance,, and all of them. I would get up early Saturday mornings,and watch for "Hours"! I started going, I was fishing one day from the bank, not really knowing what I was doing. But I was watching this older man "snatch" fish out. In the beginning of Winter, and I hadn't had a nibble. He was leaving, and stopped by me. He asked how I was doing? I replied, not as "half" as good as you were. He gave me tips, I followed them, my line wasn't out two minutes. Before I caught a Crappie. I haven't been able to go back, but I plan on it soon. Fractured both knees, and my "spine". But I'm in Columbus Ohio, and I fish at Griggs Reservoir. And this old man told me, that these Crappie here. Are cold water Crappie, and as long as this water isn't frozen over. They are going to "eat", I know that, because I saw him snatching them out. From the bridge overpass pilons. But to see this video from "YOU"!!!! Winter Crappie fishing, just put the nails, way down in the coffin. "THANK YOU", for this video 💯💯💯💯💪🏾👍🏾👊🏾👊🏾

Curious when you’re fishing these creeks how far are you off or from the main lake, my lake doesn’t have creeks it just has a river that runs into it, the creeks that run into the river are very far from the lake

All creeks are different! I have caught crappie miles and miles from main lake, then other creeks they are in the first few bends of the creek and that’s it! Just depends. Thanks for watching! God bless!

Hello ! Good morning. 903 fishing ! I just brought the ACC crappie stix super grip 8 foot spinning rod. And which size spinning reel you would recommend me to put on that rod please. I was looking at the size 25 pflueger president spinning reel and I was looking at the Dawia regal LT size 2500 spinning reel. I will be doing just casting from the bank using hair jigs and live minnows and live cricket and live night crawler and sometime the 903 fishing baits by slab city jigs and sometime the crappie magnets 1-1/2” body packs baits. I love eating shells crawler and bluegills and red ear and crappies with pancakes and sometimes with shrimps . Crappie will move out of creeks to deeper water during cold fronts, most Crappie forums and guides would tell you that just saying.

Creek crappie that are already in the creek aren’t as affected by the weather etc. that’s facts. Caught these 3-4 feet deep. Thanks for watching! God blesss

@@903fishing Lol I literally caught a White Crappie with eggs bursting out of it on the main lake today tho, a lot of em spawn on the main lake too especially when cold fronts are present. Most deep spots in creeks are only 20-30 feet max, Crappie need access to even deeper water like 40-50 feet when cold fronts are present, that's facts.
