When I was 4 years old I fell in love with fishing, watching my float go under. Well I’m 57 now, and my fishing has come full circle. I’ve fished bass tournaments, was a guide for stripers on Smith lake in Cullman Al. My wife and I fish for bluegill and shellcracker exclusively. Nothing like it. And the filets are the best in fresh water!!!

I just sold almost $5k of bass stuff to focus on Fatheads(Gillies). I absolutely agree about the fight. Caught one that size today, actually 2. Biggest was about the size of the big one you called a mule. The fight is what got me. They will absolutely test your equipment. Also, excellent bass bait.

Catchin' them thar' Bluegill sure is fun! I've caught plenty of 'em in my lifetime, and boy, they sure can fight! I've caught some in the past four or five years, that had to be every bit of 10-11 inches long, and it was a struggle just to get 'em unhooked. You could hardly get your hand around 'em, to hold 'em, and get the hook out of their mouth! Had to go 1-1 1/2 pounds, easy! Have a great day, and God bless you and yours!
