@@Obojima An animated series in this setting would be most incredible but that would be completely different to tackle But oh man, seeing a Dara, a College of Masks bard, a vending machine, the Sheep dragon... all of this in animation ? That would be just perfection

im so obsessed with this setting... every podcast gives me new ideas to rotate in my mind and i can't wait until i can start planning games in this setting

Frankly I would probably be calling these elves Obojima elves. It makes things pretty simple especially with other kinds of elves in the party who might have some rather interesting thoughts regarding this new elf species that is technically a human subspecies. The glyphs remind me of Link's arm from Tears of the Kingdom particularly the handprint that serves as a lock for many areas of the game.

I adore the concept of changing your creature type to reflect your identity. A reclusive, instinct driven Dara becomes a beast to reflect their inner nature. Maybe a Dara becomes a fiend if they succumb to greed and cruelty. Perhaps one who embodies charity and kindness becomes a celestial. The only real issue with odd creature types is that fiends, fey, undead, celestials, and elementals are affected by certain planar wards like magic circle which isn't the worst. Constructs and undead are often unaffected by healing magic which could prove problematic. Being a beast shouldn't be a huge issue. I think celestials, fiends, and fey are your safest bets I think. I am very excited to see what you do with it! Personally the idea of your form changing to represent who and what you are is really beautiful and I hope you keep that idea as you move forwards.

Thinking about a Dara born with a malicious glyph who refuses to pass on their glyph when they die as like- an allegory for generational trauma.

An idea that I have for the Dara when you level up you almost feel like something is calling you and you follow it and to a glif. Something else I think would be interesting is if you ask to learn certain information like the cassette tap. You have to make a constitution save and the DC is like a 25 and if you fail you black out, or get a migraine, or something of that nature.

I’m enjoying this podcast and book so much, hope you guys will sell internationally because I missed the kickstarter and are from Hong Kong

What would happen if a tree with a glyph DOES get chopped down and turned into something? Would a dara walk into a house and just put their hand on a chair leg and declare that they know something new? Or would it be deactivated?

That's a great question. I'd suppose the magic fades. That being said I do like the idea of the Dara being able to sense the destroyed glyph as if it were an old ghost in the wood. -Jeremiah

It's messed up butbi live the idea that all creatures can see the glyphs and than some adventurers or merchants search specifically for them to sell at the market. Or some rich people collect the glyphs of famous Dara. Having a whole adventure based on the idea of reclaiming a glyphs is hilarious or having a party if both a Dara and a glyph hunter
