When I first saw that there is a podcast about obojima I thought „sweet, here comes yet another podcast, but at least it’s about something I supported“ but now two episodes in I already love the format. It’s so cool watching you bouncing off each others ideas and creating these locations. Like some other one wrote already, it also really helps with thinking of how I wanna improve my current campaign. Really love what you are doing here and I’m looking forward to more episodes ❤

Just finished this episode. For anyone who has backed Obojima or just loves the inspirations it comes from, it's a delightful time where your mind wanders on a little adventure along with these three. Already so many character ideas and plotlines formulating, just being tossed around.

Something about this section reminds me of Moomin and how the Snork is always trying to make a cool flying contraption, failing, getting sad about it for a bit and then getting back to it once he gets a tiny inspiration until he does build one. And one episode, he builds a set of wings, Da Vinci style. Very cool. I imagine Moomin is a good inspo along with Zelda and Ghibli

Even as a supporter of the campaign i did not think I'd be terribly interested in this but i had a long drive, threw it on, and am so glad that I did! This is so fascinating, i love watching you just talk through everything, and your ability to constantly check, not only if something is cool, but what can the players and DM actually do with it, what does the story and interaction with this part of the world look like, is a great lesson. As an amateur worldbuilder I am going to try to carry over that mindset into my own homebrew. Keep it up!

I'm late to the party with this one, but I wanted to share the specific mental image I had with the Harpies when you said they played cards and blew smoke: The weird little guys finish a game of Harpy Poker and the winner just rolls up a couple of the cards and smokes it like a cigarette

another cat spirit idea is depending on what life the cat is on (cats having 9 lives and all) can effect the spirit form. whether it is a super curious vs. wise cat or small size vs large

Maybe the harpies and the mechanics are frenemies? Sure the harpies are mocking and messing with the mechanic, but behind his back they are dropping off screws and various parts for him to find and are rooting for the guy. When something appears that would threaten the old man's dream the harpies show up in a tank they somehow got working to blast it away.

Be cool yo have two paths, either help old man, or help spirit stop old man and either path can give you similar reward, make spirit as big as old man.

What if the Harpies don’t hurt the old man because they think it’s funny every time he tries and fails to get a plane off the ground - but they secretly want to see him succeed because they’ve spent so long just dreaming about the fantasies of the brochures and posters around the place?

That is such a cool idea. You gotta come back after you've done it and tell me how it goes! As for the minis, We're still working on the STLs, but the moment they're out we'll make a KS update about them. -Jeremiah
