I think the Shape Builder tool has been a part of Illustrator since before CC, so great even for those not all the way updated!

Only difference between this CC version in the vid, and the one I'm using is that dragging my shape builder moves in a straight line. :/.

Just what I needed. Long time user of Adobe products but for some reason, never got deep into Illustrator, and I'm a traditional illustrator!!! I guess it just depends on what you're doing most of the time. For me, it's been heavy retouching with PS and now UI design with Sketch. I now have to dive back into Illustrator and found my old skills seriously lacking, so this was perfect. Love your tuts. Thanks.
