We need all the love
I always admired people who can create something like this. Never in my mind I could visualize this and create it.
I Love your stuff. I'm a digital illustrator focusing on artwork now and not graphics. I use Illustrator every day for a living, and print out of Photoshop, as an old AirBrush artist I enjoy the line work In illustrator it reminds me of all the line work I had to do to sketch out the work on paper. I just discovered your KZread channel by happenstance and I want to thank you for some of the fun tricks, a lot of them I had figured out on my own but you have come up with things I had never thought about and I wanna thank you.

Thanks so much Kevin, really appreciate it mate 🙂
Dansky, thank you so much for explaining the process as you go along. You have so much great knowledge, and I thank you for sharing it. I have seen so many other tutorials that don't explain anything, they even have music turned on instead of explaining the process. Again, thank you.

These are excellent *Vector Graphics Techniques* which should not be confused with *Logo Design* as that is an entirely different process and is not dependent upon software.
THANK YOU!

Great video Danksy! Just one question: Why did you choose the shapebuilding tool instead of the pathfinder? Doesn't the last one save you a lot of work by just splitting the shapes? Or does that have any negative effects?
@ForeverDansky
Жыл бұрын
Thanks Julian! 😊 Typically, I use the shape builder tool for more intricate areas of a design, especially if I need to twist and turn the cursor to combine segments. The pathfinder panel is generally better suited to combining simpler shapes, and also lots of shapes in one click, where more detailed work isn’t required 👍

Small tip, double click your shape builder tool and you can change your gap tolerance rather than changing the paths to intersect. Another thing I like to do when aligning straight lines off a circle is to rotate the circle by x degrees, so that one of the circles path anchor point ends out where you want your straight line to align on, that way the two points will snap to each other.

Thnx for the video! very thankful, but I have a question, when you're editing in ill, how do you switch from one mode to the other? There are times when the logo is seen without color, the contour lines are visible. On the other hand, in the other mode it is seen with the colors and the fillings

could you make video about making logos that use empty space (don't know the technical term) to make it easy to transpose onto any colour background?

good sir
Hi Dansky, do you design logos as a business too? Do you have a website or a place I can go to?

Make video exporting logo for ig pfp (exported settings need for it not to pixelate)
This technique is visually very pleasing, but you need to be aware of some issues they can come up with the “shape builder tool” for technical reasons like to many anchor points or you sometimes can’t expand the shape after using this tool.
@PedroRodrigues-fh1ku
Жыл бұрын
is the pathfinder better then?
@newvalue
Жыл бұрын
It actually is. Because you get the purest results from it, but the “shape builder tool” is a lot fast and easier to use.
thanks alot for this tutorial , but when i use the alignment tool it squeeze the shapes together instead of aligning it , what i am doing wrong ?
@ForeverDansky
Жыл бұрын
Is the shape selected with the Selection Tool? If you have the Direct Selection Tool selected, it will align anchor points instead of shapes 👍
@anasosama7558

@@ForeverDansky now it's aligned , thanks alot, i am starting in illustrator and those small details are annoying , do you have a tutorial on illustrator basics ?
An alternative way to turn the stroke into a fill/object is to go object>path>offset path :)
@ForeverDansky
Жыл бұрын
Offset Path doesn't convert strokes to fills, it literally just offsets the path by a specific value, keeping all of the strokes fully editable 👍
@Ric3yBoi100
Жыл бұрын
@@ForeverDansky Omg, I brain farted, I meant object>path>outline stroke 😅😅 Sorry for the inconvinience
What's that light in the back?
👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
You could have done this with the pathfinder tool and not dragged the pieces away and back again.
I'm stuck on 3:02, i get "To join, you must select two end points of the same or two different paths"
