Also, it must have been a lovely drive through Alsace past Colmar and through Basel. Also, Biel is a lovely destination.

After seeing a base SLS amg, I don’t think you should sell this. I’ve seen both the amg gts and the sls amg. They are so different. The SLS will remain unmatched. It’s road presence is unquantifiable. This isn’t about money anymore. This car is truly as special as they say it is.

Saw a matte black SLS black and a silver SLS black. You're right, on the road they have such a presence. Not in your face, but very wide and very good looking.

Hey shmee, a viewer from switzerland here, wanted to let you know that on our autobahn we actually do have tolerance. A tolerance deduction of 5 to 7 km/h is made for radar measurements, 3 to 5 km/h for laser measurements and 7 to 9 km/h for mobile measurements, depending on the speed driven.

In England we generally get 10% plus 2 before you will receive a ticket. So 79mph in a 70 etc

This car will forever be the AMG Black Series symbol , the GT will never be this special

I drove one for a whole week in 2014. What a beautiful car. I then drove a Ferrari California T for the week after, and the SLS was just far more superior, in every single way.

Hi Tim, thank you for visiting my hometown, I didn't even know that Swatch had such a drive through. Yes, speeding can be freaking expensive in Switzerland, but it still isn't forbidden to make noise in the tunnels, as long as you stay in the speed limits or 5 km/h above. Cheeeeeeers !

Years ago manufacturers only made 300-500 units of something (or less) as a limited number, because that's what the likely projected sales would be for a car at such a price point at that time. Fast forward to now and the much greater amount of people who have the ability to purchase such vehicles because of 'new money' and alongside that, the culture having grown (because of social media and OG's like Tim), means that the manufacturers are simply making a business decision rather than an emotional decision lead by the idea of having a super limited product. For yourself Tim. Even if the business decision doesn't quite work for purchase price v content. An LFA needs to join the garage on just emotion alone. Hopefully one day that happens. Love the work as always and looking forward to car week!

@@sabersz agree 100% he should have both in the garage simultaneously. Perhaps even eventually a trifecta of V8, V10 & V12 by introducing an F12 TDf 🤷‍♂️

From an engineering standpoint, the LFA is interesting due to Toyota’s collaboration with Yamaha, and applicator carbon fiber & custom weaving looms. The LFA seems to be a track-capable livable car, but so is the new Corvette Z06/Z07 package.

@@michaelgakanga yup, but the LFA was was only groundbreaking in that a conservative company collaborated with Yamaha and lost money on every car sold. It’s interesting what GR and TRD does, but in terms of the exotic car market, it might be collectible but not awesome in terms of performance.

so when you bought the sls I had a prediction that this car, the LFA and the TDF would have a value of over 1million dollars very soon. I consider those 3 to be the pinnacle of front mid engined rear wheel drive motorsports derived vehicles. now the TDF is the only one left that people aren't talking about but that one might as well be on its way to 2million by 2025

I have to go to swatch HQ that looks amazing, got my first Moon Swatch finally last week.

Words can't describe how much i love this car. Especially your spec in the sun. Just amazing. Btw here in Austria there is an sls black series for just below 1 mio euros. Don't know if this includes the nova Taxes which is around 25 % on top of normal taxes 🙄

Coincidence, my car hit 33300km today, its only taken 3years, I'm not sure what it's worth but as it's only an Insignia it definitely hasn't doubled in value, more like half! Nice to know your SLS is so valuable but its one car I hope you never sell. edit..I really like that "Paris" Maxi Swatch with Eiffel tower logo

The SLS BS is my preferred car in your collection... even though I think its value is a bit lower due to the modifications (body color and interior stuff).

In the last couple of days I’ve heard from other YT channels that the market for cars is starting to cool off big time. I guess we will see.

Here in Australia there are a few SLS’s for sale between $799k - $865k. There’s also one dude selling a base SLS for $1.2M

I didn’t notice you go into the bigger building and was wondering how the big room you were in was in that tiny looking drive thru building. Maybe it’s like the Tardis.

Haha, yes they did, I've got 9 of the 11 now!

The speedtoleranze in Switzerland is around 7-8km/h if they „blitz“ you, you definitely need the Blitzerapp, so you can speed without beeing scared to lose your liscense 😅 atleast there are only very few Radars on Swiss highways, only around 1 per 100km of Highway

@shmee150 When are you going to install the carbontastic steering wheel in the sls? That wheel looked incredible and its a shame you had problems when trying to install it when you tried it for the first time.

Quick get the Bentley air bubble storage cocoon- The Gull Wings at their Best. That years lights and grile change too ka short adjustment. But the Colour Change is our Fav for 4 autos weve had with it.
