What do supercar owners do for a job?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Thanks to South OC Cars & Coffee for helping us create this video: / southoccarsandcoffee
Mat’s flown over to the American West Coast, and he’s attending a Cars & Coffee meet-up!
There are absolutely loads of supercars at this event, with pretty much every supercar brand making an appearance of some description - Porsche, Lambo, McLaren, Ferrari and even Bugatti… They’re all there!
The question is, how exactly do the owners afford to buy these incredibly expensive cars? Well, Mat’s about to find out! He’s going to speak to a whole host of car owners at the event to find out what they do for work to be able to afford these incredible machines. But not only that, he’s going to put them to the test to find out how much they really know about their car!
The question is, will he find a car worth more than the most expensive car he’s ever drag raced, a Koenigsegg Agera RS?! You’ll need to keep watching to see for yourself!

I get the feeling that for them the stats don't matter as much as the actual experience of owning such cars, particularly not capacity. Power (at least knowing a ballpark) and engine conf are still more relevant as they directly affect the driving experience. It's more us regular car fans who can't afford to access these cars that then focus on what we can access about such cars, which is primarily information and stats

I´m assuming you´re from Europe like me and in my experience this really comes down to a difference in culture between the US and the EU, Germany especially in my case. In my opinion in the US you get a lot less of jelousy if you are showing off your success compared to over here. Over here people are usually more of the mindset to hide the fact they´re doing well for themself to not attract too much of that jelousy from other people, while in the US this is much more acceptable to be showing what you got.

No it won't happen over night 99% of the time, but with time, dedication and consistency you can get there. Real estate is a long term game, the only way to make millions from that would be to start with millions. All of these young real estate bros or gurus are all frauds they don’t manage 60+ properties if they’re on KZread selling courses on how to do what they claim they do. The only real wealthy people who do real estate are the already wealthy individuals that own several homes around the world or their home country. No one who works a regular 9-5 job will become a millionaire from real estate especially in the housing markets now there’s no way to flip these already over priced and expensive homes..

@@TheDestineyy Money isn't everything, especially if you sacrifice your moral along the way. Making profit with what should be a human right is wrong. A liveable space should not be an investment or something profit should be made off of. If a mortgage is 2000pcm and the rent is 3000pcm, that's p much legal theft and profiting off their initial poverty. There is so much wrong with real estate investment, no morals behind it, at all. And no, I am not saying this out of jealousy, I was born into wealth and we've always distanced ourselves from investing in real estate for those reasons.

That’s clearly an opinion and whilst I agree, frankly nothing can be done about the greed in the real estate industry as it’s too far in. You come from wealth, that’s great, but for someone who doesn’t they’ll say “if you can’t beat them, join them”.

Really entertaining episode. Apparently no playboy billionaire heirs in this event. An implicit presumption of Matt was that everyone interviewed purchased their car with money made from working or from running a business. Supposing the money to buy the supercar came from your über-rich family, when asked what you did for a living, answering "insurance" would sound quite neutral, rather than the not-so-flattering "I actually don't do anything for a living, the car was purchased with money from my family trustfund".
