    This is the "Curse of David Perron." I'm telling you. Not simply because he was let go, but because Doug Armstrong treated him poorly in lack of negotiations. And lied to the media/fans about desires to bring him back. If you noticed, last year's team was one player away from Stanley Cup contender (top big defensman) and healthy Binnington. Almost same team this year, and they fell apart.

    If anyone was wondering why Bennington has been acting the way he has the man just let you know. Enough said. GM needs to do his job. Get the bad out bring the good in. Blues officially in a complete rebuild. Time to watch some rough play the next few years.

    Binnington has not been great since he got his new contract. They also don't need a complete rebuild but rather a retooling ala Boston circa 2015.

    This may be a reach, but do you think that a Kyrou may get dealt? Berube seems to have had problems with him in the past and the Blues need a top defenseman like a Jakob Chychrun from Arizona who has been rumored to be on the trading block for some time now. Do you think that is a reach?

  • @anthonyfaccaro7118

    @anthonyfaccaro7118

    You dont sign a guy to an 8 yr deal then trade him months later. That shows every other player in the league that theres no loyalty, and no one would ever sign here again. And chychrun is not coming here, we are saving our picks for the deepest draft in years.

    The Blues have the best PK in the league. The problem is the that they are killing their own PP. Continuously passing around the perimeter, they don't funnel the puck to the net; and no fight or net front presence and few dirty goals scored. This lack of work ethic really shows up when the other team pulls their goalie, and the amount of the goals scored by the opposition with the extra attacker. This lack of work ethic is also illustrated by the number of goals scored by the opposition when the Blues pull their goalie, and the few if any goals scored by the Blues with the extra attacker. It seems to me that Armstromg put the Blues future in the hands of Thomas and Kyrou prematurely.

    Yep, Doug Armstrong is a magician when it comes to winning trades. But i'll say it again, he poorly evaluates team talent/worth (on these contracts). And he can't decide upon what he wants the identity of his teams to be year-in-year out. Berube had his style of players, in 2018-19...they bought into his gritty style. David Perron was a pest... playing awesome two-way hockey. Yet, Armstrong gets rid of Berube's style players, for smaller, faster and younger (inexperienced) guys, who haven't earned anything. Armstrong needs to stop thinking that only one type of team (smaller and speedy) can win. Even Kelly Chase believes the gritty teams (with talent) are always well suited to go far (in the playoffs). Who cares about regular season highlight reels? The playoffs is a different beast. Only the strong survive.

    As Far As I Can See it Craig Berube Must Look At Himself Within The Mirror. If You Ask me What I Think And That is the Vancouver Canucks Have Nothing to be Disappointed About But They Would if Craig Berube Were to be the Head Coach But We Have A Decent Man In Rick Tocchet. Too Bad Berube You Should be Just Grateful That You Have Even A Job To Contend With When There Are Lots of People That Are There And Whom Are Hopeless And Why Dont You Become Homeless And See How You Would Feel if You Were to be in Their Own Situation. And You Grumble. Well Craig Be A Homeless Person Then Having A Roof Over Your Head. David Glavin

    I really like Berube but he just can't seem to motivate the boys the right way. They make so many mental errors in all their losses. When they do win, they don't. Mental errors happening frequently is almost always the coach's fault.
