I love Craig Berube. He is a really good coach. It's a shame that he had such a nitwit GM when he was here in Philly.

I liked Keefe but his Achillies heel was he was too scared to lose the room by calling out the boys buy not playing up to snuff.

Maybe he should’ve done this 30 games ago when it would’ve meant something as opposed to waiting until after O’Rielly & tarasenko have been traded.

@@goff38 no doubt. But if he questioned the teams effort 35 games ago & maybe got them going. Then that would’ve made more sense as opposed to waiting until the seasons been effectively lost & two of their most important players have been traded.

@@stentorofsparta3576 Actually, I do seem to recall Berube questioning the team’s effort earlier in the season, and even as soon as early November when the team was not playing any kind of defense whatsoever. At the time I thought it was no big deal because the team would get their act together, but once we got through November and December with no signs of improvement, Berube had questioned the effort after several games, and it didn’t help matters, that’s when I saw trouble. It means that either he has lost his effectiveness as a coach, or there are certain players on this team that want him fired, so this is a deliberate attempt at sabotage so they can get him gone at the end of the season. For the record, I doubt Berube will be fired after this season, but if things don’t improve next season, then I just don’t know.

Unfortunately, more often than not this hard nosed approach doesn’t work with today’s twenty-somethings.

Don't worry Craig your players aren't the only ones collecting the big pay check and not showing up to play at the top of there ability. There's a number of them in Calgary doing the same thing.

Binnington doesn’t need to listen; he was the Blues best player almost every night. The 18 skaters in front of him left him hung out to dry. Binnington brought passion, fire & competitiveness every night. Forget his stats; they won’t show that.
