His hands are shaking. He's uncomfortable. Still, this man sits up straight, looks Mark in the eyes, and speaks his truth - even when it's ugly. That's courage. Accountability is hard in private with our closest allies. Holding yourself accountable in front of a camera knowing thousands of strangers will see? It's admirable. I hope Jason finds a support system that will remind him that he is not just the sum of his past mistakes. I hope that he is able to hug his girls soon. I hope he finds this video of himself on KZread and starts reading the comments and sees that he has a whole bunch of people who see the good in him and are rooting for him to see it in himself. When people like him change their lives, they start changing lives. This is my prayer for Jason. Sending love and blessings from the other side of Appalachia (SE Kentucky). 🖤

I think it's possible (maybe preferable even) to have empathy for both him and the girl - as a female who was groomed and later raped by my cousin at age 12 (when he was 24), i do not condone any form of sexual exploitation or assault in any way.. obviously i think that's hideous and should be punished - but in this man's case i feel like he really did believe she was 18 and perhaps his drug use at the time impaired his ability to gauge that too.. he definitely doesn't defend it and acknowledges his responsibility but also deeply regrets what happened.. unless he's a brilliant actor and liar, he seems like a decent and pretty switched on guy who made a terrible mistake and has suffered the consequences terribly.. i kinda feel like he's for real and feel as much compassion for him as for the girl who seems to have had a pretty rough deal too.. it's never quite black and white, is it? I wish them both luck, and healing ❤

Not many have empathy in the west. I dont even think they know what it means. Society is narcissistic af and we cant look past the outer identities to see the human who is a victim of a winner takes all game. Its all how and who you were born to and they were victims who became victimizers. just saw another vid elsewhere, where aman broke hios pelvis jumping from 2nd floor at the mall and the commenters blew me away. They were wishing him everlasting pain and saying it was great to see. only in the narcisisisystem do we see someones misery and cheer without asking hwo they got there. All the while standing up for the poor trillion dollar fake valuation terrorist corporations who couped the whole country. Were even worse to the rest of the world. I dont see many with empathy or even who understand but, theyre sure to want some when its their turn in this shotshow dystopia. I think Mark meeting all of these people from different rough backgrounds and who lead lives that would kill many of us toddlers is eye opening for many. Its like how you cant know how people live without leaving your hometown.

Also have you seen the bloodline of the whitakers from the other videos. There were no breaks for anyone. That and all of the other narcissism our country normalized has made many born to lose. Youre an example of very little info calling someone human waste product. I suppose youre watching for cringe vs expanding yourself and opening to all the shit our society has to offer. As a survivor of SA and DV I do not say what I am about to say lightly. I believe this man. He admitted to what he did with his full chest and did not make excuses for his actions. He explained it in a very matter of fact way and showed, what I felt was, genuine remorse. It's rare for me to come across someone who's on a registry and have empathy for them but he seems very sincere and I wish him the best.

How is it considered SA when the other person was lied to about their age like that? That part really upset me. Are people supposed to ask for ID before they have sex? Like how would one even avoid something like that when they lied? Its just so sad and almost seems unfair... I've had my own experience with SA but I'd nvr heard a story like his before. Just curious, you seem to know more than me.

I agree with you, but I would like to add that at the time of the crime, there might have not been an assault, but the wording in the law classified it as that. I've seen that happen before, and in those situations it really depends on how the parents would charge him. No 14 year-old should be having sex but unfortunately there are girls and boys who think they are grown up at that age. I don't know the circumstances of the crime so I won't conjecture, I just wanted to add that little bit because that is a scenario we see every day. Think about Danny Masterson, he bet Ashton Kutcher $20 to French kiss Mila Kunis when she was that age.

I couldn't get anyone to hire me as a felon after going to prison for 2.5 yrs at age 18. All weed charges. Anyway I finally had to start lying on applications in order to get work. Obviously this isn't ideal but it actually worked for me and I have even held corporate jobs over 5 years in length! These are companies that claimed to check for felonies (Walmart home office) ( Lowes Home Improvement store) but I guess they never did! Now at age 50 with a 17yo son who is the opposite of what I was as a kid. I'm so glad I took this risk. The catch is if they find out later after hiring you they can fire you on the spot but like I say never happened for me anyway. I had to do something to stop going back to crime! I never went back to prison! So all the guards who said I would be back can suck it! 😅 Also generally if they plan to check for a felony it will be before hire. Some companies don't check at all unless you get in some sort of trouble with the company then they may run it looking for an easy way to fire you.

I was impressed. Id say most people would have lied or kept silent. He shared. He shows he has a heart. You know how many people i know that have done same as Ray? More than i can count. All depends on if Someome gets angry. Jealous or hurt and then wants to hurt the other. Or an angry parent. Theres a big difference between preying on Someone and meeting a guy out girl through mutual friends. Theres also such a vast canyon of differences in people from one to the next. A mix of genetics as well as how you were brought up. What you’ve experienced. Onw of the guys i used to hangout with had a brother who was 11 and looked as old as us at 18 /19. I remember when we were 21 he would come out to the bar or party and he would end up driving peoples cars cause he was sober. Smart young man. Real observant. Definitely was taking it all in and learning hanging out with the older groups. Really high social iq for sure. We used to think it was funny introducing girls to him. Definitely plenty of them who could ve in prison. He dated a 30 year old and ended up have a child with her. She didnt know his age till the baby came and stuff cause of paperwork im thinking it was. He was 15 almost then. Nothing happened happend to Chelsey but getting made fun of for a moment. I dunno. Everyonr should toss their tvs to the recycler. Did you know when you break down the word cartoon….the meaning behind it is quite nefarious. Literally means to tale something someone of its naturally high positive vibrational state. And detuning them. Lowering them yo be intune with trash. Garbage. To twist their outlook. Ego. Internal voices. Inclination. Attitude. Attraction and choices to that of a jester. And joker. A sadistic lunatic that derived pleasure from the pain of others. Especially through the public humiliation of others by their actions. Destroying one of the most precious things. A hearts open and honest trusting nature. A child or sibling or other lived one. Family member. There trust and connection shattered. . Through pranks. Sadistic in nature And super damaging more than most have a clue. Think of what bugs bunny and pals are really showing. Really displaying wnd acting out in front of that young child. Even infant as it takes it all in. Acts of violence. And constant sneakiness and Treachery. Extreme in many cases. The whole time giggling and laughing about it all. Sarcasm. Sardonic dark humor. Truly ponder it for a moment. It really is insidious. And being done with intent. To control and guide humanity into the wrong vision. Away from the 🫀the real true heart…… And instead to live in consumerist hypersexûalized land of the reel. Into the land of oz. behind the curtain. To the fake scenes of the screens. Through Divisive deVices. Black mirrors

I'm right there too. but this man didn't tell the absolute truth. his charges, which are a public record, list him as "violently se*ually assaulting" a child UNDER 13 when he was 22. that means the child was 12 or under!! and those words "violently s a" does not sound like consensual...but even if it was, at 22 years old he could tell she was not of legal age because he had a conversation with her about her age...so even if she told him she was 18, he knew she wasn't legal. people can say he did his time so he has paid for his crimes... but when he moved from Illinois to West Virginia he was supposed to register that he had moved. he didn't. he was supposed to notify the state when he got a new car ( in case his car is seen in the area of an abduction or cruising around an elementary school etc) but he didn't do that either. both of those things are crimes and he just got out of jail for them last week!!! you say you are a mother, I am too, so what if that was your child he did that to? how would you feel then?

Which video did his family say he lied? I feel he’s lying. I don’t believe that IL law let’s an alleged offender off if the court finds that the alleged victim lied about his/her age. I do know that a judge weighs the credibility of those who testify: if he testified that the girl lied, & the judge didn’t believe him, that’s part of why he’d be found guilty. Also, a judge might wonder why a person would feel the need to know the age of a prospective partner. If he did in fact ask, could it be that he had an inkling that she was too young? Also, I read that she was passed out, so if that’s true it was non-consensual.

Jason seems like a nice guy until you read about his arrest. He SA'd a girl less than 13 and never registered when he got out of prison. And here he is minimizing it. So sure, invite him to dinner but lock up your minor children before he gets there. Don't mean to be cruel but I have to take the side of the victim. She will live with this for the rest of her life.

I concur. These interviews are interesting and fascinating--but they glorify and 'humanize' people that have zero impulse control and have chosen to put themselves into the 'dregs of society' category. Some of the Whittakers married people that were not blood kin and seem to have produced normal families. I'd actually be interested in seeing some interviews with some of them.

Oh so much bull shit - he lied. He lied big. This was a very bad call for both channel and him. Hope soft white underbelly maybe finds the girl he raped to get her side eh - though she was under 13 at the time so her memory might be hazy right - being a child and all.

There is wide attention to this family for reasons of genetics. But it should be made clear that worldwide, in isolated communities, there are lots of families who have this issue to some extent. You should never forget like Jason says, that in their core and apart from genetics they are just a family. They care for each other and live healthy family lives. In that respect, they do not differ from other families and should be respected and left alone.

If Jason ever gets to see these comments I hope he can take away that we're all in his corner and want to see him succeed, find peace and have a good life. Big respect for him going sober and trying to be a good person. Everyone has the opportunity to change, everyone has a second chance. It's the beauty of life. No matter how old you are, what you've done or been through. You got this.

I’m so glad I found Jason’s interview. I love that he is right there, protecting his family. I love that he was so willing to answer Mark’s questions, and that he was able to talk very candidly. I know this couldn’t have been a comfortable conversation to have, but he did a good job. I hope he is able to start healing his relationship with his daughter, and his third child. Kudos to him for continuing to stay clean. Sobriety is a hard life to live. I sincerely hope he is able to maintain it.
