It took one man to change the lives of so many. Mark, you have all the markings of a saint and you have opened a window for the rest of us to look at what acceptance and humanity is all about. You took a family and lifted them to another level of happiness. You have a caring nature that is pure of heart and the Whittaker family know this too. I have seen many of your videos and you maintain the same standards with every single person you are with. People like you are incredibly rare and I am just so very glad I got to witness what you do. When I see this family,I don't see disability or mental health issues, I see a family unity that is strong and supportive. They love each other and if you are lucky enough to be invited into thier lives,it is a lifetime bond.

Whether it’s a poverty stricken family in Appalachia or a drug addict, a gang member or a prostitute, we all could use a little compassion for those we don’t understand and if my work helps us do that then I’m pleased. Have a great holiday weekend everyone.

It's interesting how the first meeting with the Whitaker's, everything seemed so dark and almost had a scary feel obviously due to their uncertainty. Now, however, they and even their home seems so much brighter. It's nice to see them smile and have a good time but it's nicer to see them know that they can trust someone. They've undoubtedly led tough lives and have been abused by this cruel world but have found a friend in Mark. People may laugh but these are some of the most kind-hearted and genuine people on the planet. They deserve to find some peace and happiness out of life .

The difference between this visit, and one of Mark's first times by their porch, is just night and day. Back then, they were in soiled clothes, and barely anyone was able to speak a word, they were so derelict. Now they have their grandsons over, Ray's beaming proud of his new shoes, and they're Much more outgoing. Mark has given this family an opportunity to have the world see and understand them. Under normal circumstances a lot of people in the USA are unfamiliar with how our extremely rural citizens live from day to day. These videos help people see that no matter who you are, and where you go, people just want to be around family, friends, and have a good time with each other. Being from Virginia, we always joke about how backward WV is but really it’s such a beautiful state. Seeing Ray light up when he saw Mark just gave me a smile that I needed today.

I can’t think of another single video that I’ve ever seen that seems to genuinely have zero negative comments. I’m sure there will eventually be a few on this video, but what Mark has built with this family is so heart warming and full of the human condition that even the trolls chill out for a minute. Very impressive, Sir. Speaks directly to the kindness of your heart and soul.

Yes, it is encouraging...Most of us have gotten to know the Whittakers through Mark's work and we have grown to love them...but sadly once it gets chopped up and shared on Tik Tok, etc... that's when you see all the ignorant and heartless comments that can be quite disheartening.

There was unfortunately a very negative comment that I felt the need to straighten out it’s unfortunate that some feel the need to project their bitterness and hate into what is otherwise a very positive and meaningful experience for them without mark asking for anything in return . Yea he gets content but it’s not for selfish reasons. Sad some can’t see past their hurt and animosity. I wish they find a mark In Their lives so they can experience genuine love and joy.

I'm not sure what the prize was, a banana?, but I doubt he let go of it for the rest of the day. I don't know if Timmy's got a crush on the girl, I can never remember her name, but he seems to want to be beside her every chance he gets. 😂 not that I blame him, she's very attractive.

Mark genuinely cares for this family and has done SO much to improve their quality of life in every possible way and to say otherwise is totally ignorant to the reality of the situation. If you compare the property in the first video to this one it's like night and day.. all thanks to the generosity of mark and his team and those who have donated their time, money and services. they are also so much happier, more social and it seems all of this has brought the entire family closer together. this isn't about clicks and views, this is about impacting serious change for a family who couldn't do it for themselves due to circumstances well out of their control.
