What I love about Courtney is that she is so memorable. Even her covers are memorable. She either sings them so close to the original, that she sings well beyond her years (her 18th Birthday Kaareoke performance is a good example of this, kzread.info/dash/bejne/YpV-ts-fp7TIp6Q.html), or she completely changes up the genre from the original song, like this one, kzread.info/dash/bejne/qYSNx7ZuqNCtkso.html. But her original songs, this one, That Girl Don't Live Here [kzread.info/dash/bejne/hK19rrJtdLO2hNI.html] and another one she wrote years ago called Good Old Days [kzread.info/dash/bejne/aZ18uLGmfrK0oqQ.html], are still going through my brain, weeks, months and even years after my first watch of the video. That shows what an amazing artist she truly is.

This song "Breakable" and "That Girl Don't Live Here" she wrote together with Kevin Bowe. The songs are a bit about life after AGT with both betrayal and lies. The record companies wanted to change her. Something Courtney didn't want. She didn't want to look or sound like everyone else. She wants to be herself, dress the way she wants, to make the music she wants and not do what other people want. One thing Courtney has done since Voice Kid UK and AGT is to be true to herself and she still is. Courtney is now an independent and in control of her own music. The video or rather both videos that are made are recorded in Malaga Spain

Great reaction! Looking forward to your reaction to That Girl Don't Live Here. Courtney has a terrific producer who also co-writes some of her songs named Kevin Bowe. He's worked with some of the greats, Etta James is particularly significant. Liked and Subscribed. See you soon!

Thanks for coming back to Courtney. I really do hope you continue with more from Courtney. She just released this song and another since she announced she became an independent artist this past January. Her songs she's been releasing and the more recent clips she's uploaded on her social media channels are all about her trials and tribulations in the past 4 or 5 years it seem mostly with the music business, which she has mentioned. Some of the more recent music clips are very telling of the issues she's had with her previous label or labels with either Arista or Sony Music I'm guessing. But it could be others or a combination of all of them. She talks about how they wanted her to be someone other than who she is. Another one of those pretty cookie cutter artists. She would not have it, and continued to be Courtney throughout the term of her contract until she was able to go independent. At that point she's already released 2 original songs in the past few months with more to come probably another this month and supposedly 1 each month there after. For whatever the reason her previous label/s couldn't or wouldn't release one song. She's telling her story through her lyrics of these new songs. Please keep it going. The more recent song release "This Girl Don't Live Here", kzread.info/dash/bejne/hK19rrJtdLO2hNI.html is more upbeat and has really gotten everyone's attention, especially those who love her more rocking songs. Although "Breakable" shows just how great Courtney is. She said this was special for her to release 1st. Let's face it, we love when Courtney rocks out because there's not many today who know how to make people experience the joy and fun of a good old time rock n roll tune that makes you want to get up and go nuts. And for many only Courtney can do this today. She's brought a ton of people back to being interested in music again.

Hi! Nice reaction. So glad you come back to another Courtney reaction. To millions of her followers, she is the best thing to happen to music in forever. You're exposure to her is very limited, as I see on your channel that you've only reacted to her AGT audition (which now has over 1 Billion views) and this song. However, even with just these two songs, you can get some idea of the incredible range and vocal versatility that Courtney has. On AGT, she sang strictly classic rock from the 60's and 70's and showed how she can completely dominate a stage. In this beautiful ballad, you can see what a truly beautiful voice she has. The reality is that Courtney can sing just about anything and be great at it. From R&B to Funk, Soul, Ballads and Rock. She even had an opera clip go viral. The most incredible thing is that, even crossing over to so many genres, there is never the slightest drop off to the incredible quality of her music. A truly generational level talent. 'Breakable' is an amazing debut original single by Courtney. This is both her first original released as well as her first release as an independent artist and she just hit a home run. Her vocals just soar in this incredible song, the lyrics are an emotional gut punch and the fabulous video just reinforces all of the emotion contained in this song visually. Nobody can sing with the rawness and passion which Courtney can. After years of fighting to release the music that she loved and having labels try and twist her into something she didn't want to be, Courtney finally decided to go it on her own. In a true testament to her, she achieved in two months, what the labels couldn't do in years. In the last few months, she has dropped two original singles. They are completely different from each other, but both are sensational. Everyone has been burnt by someone or something in their lifetime, so this song will be relatable to so many people on a personal level. No one can touch your soul when she sings like Courtney and it feels like she is having a one on one conversation with your heart in this song. You haven't reacted to Courtney for a while, but buckle your seat belt. Now that she's in control of her own music, it was said to expect a release approximately every month. So I expect you'll be doing a good number of Courtney reactions going forward. As you mentioned, she has already dropped her second original release. An incredible song called, 'That Girl Don't Live Here'. Something you just have to react to. Courtney has a huge library of originals that she has written over the last few years, but between the lock downs and travel bans from Covid and issues with her label, she hasn't been able to release them. She has shared many of those originals, in whole or in part, with her fans, mostly over live chats on social media and everything she has shared has been sensational. She is a true powerhouse as a song writer. Can't wait to hear you doing many more future reactions to Courtney's own material.

This is a sad, honest song. The next one is an anthem of her freedom from those who tried to force her into a way she did not want to go. That song is called, "That Girl Don't Live Here". She is now an independent artist making those decisions. Most of what she produces is pretty bold.
