My first Eagles concert was in 1976, they toured with Linda Rondstadt, I was 14 at the time one of my best memories from my teens.. I took my 14 year old son to see them last month. The Eagles are timeless... Life has been good! BIG LOVE to you all.

'Take it Easy" has to have one of the most iconic verses in the history of rock. Randy Meisner did his best performance ever of 'Take it to the Limit", you might want to give that one a listen. I was at this concert at the old Capitol Center, it's gone now, and it was one of the best concerts of the 70s I attended. It really stands out in my memory. I actually went because this was my first chance to see Joe Walsh since he'd left the James Gang. Joe did not disappoint with "Rocky Mountain Way". There was some partying outside before the concert, the crowd was pumped and the Eagles never sounded better. I think we slept in our cars after the concert because of the traffic and the ehhhhh, partying. It was worth it, the police were chill. Great time.

Travis I was fortunate enough to see Eagles in concert with a friend in 2002 when they did their one of Hell Freezes Over tours in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. They played there for 2 nights. I remembered Joe Walsh wearing a helmet with a camera pointing at the audience and his bandmates. This concert and others were before sudden death of Glenn Frey (singer on this song). His son, Deacon stepped in for his late father. Now, Vince Gill is the singer for Eagles.

Desperado is definitely an Eagles classic. Maybe their most haunting tune. Linda Ronstadt also has a banging cover of that one, but since Frey and Hendley were part of her original solo tour backing band that was understandable.

I'm a HUGE Rush fan, but the Eagles are my favorite "normal" band. Every one of those musicians is a great musician and play multiple roles. All but one of them sings lead on several songs, 3 of them had massive solo careers - Joe Walsh, Glen Frey, Don Henley. Don Felder is still recording and touring as well - and they had amazing harmonies. You should check out Seven Bridges Road to see and hear how these guys could all reallly, and I mean, REALLY sing together!

How hard a song is or not shouldn't have anything to do with how good it sounds. At the end of the day, does anyone want to hear you play that matters. Nobody says, that sounds hard so I;m going to go out and buy it. If it's too complicated it's not easy listening to the ear when it comes to rock or country.

There is never much of a letdown in song quality in an Eagles live performance, although the studio versions are always more powerful overall. Good reaction to a great song. New subscriber.

Talented musicians who all ended up hating each other. I think Don H. and Glen were the main culprits behind a lot of that animosity with the rest of the band and between themselves as well imo. It’s yet another band soap opera that distracts people away from the music which should be the only thing that really matters…and the majority of it was great imo.
