In 2022 Hornby started the Corgi Model Club to give collectors the opportunity to purchase re-issues of Corgi Toys from the "Mettoy" era at an affordable price. Included are some well known models such as James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 with machine guns, bullet shield and ejector seat and the Saint's Volvo P1800. They come in replica period boxes with the Corgi dog logo.

I remember going to the department store toy section. The smell of all the new toys mixed with the new packaging, paint, plastics, etc, was magical.
